What can I use my account number for?

Your account number will be used to identify/verify you for all After Sales-Services. You may also use your mobile number/ Astro smart card number/ NRIC number or Astro Box number.

What will happen if I downgrade my packs or terminate Astro services before the end of my contract term?

If you choose to downgrade your packs or terminate Astro services before the end of your contract term, you will have to pay a cancellation fee. This cancellation fee is calculated based on your subscribed package, contract period and box type. If you cancel your service(s)/change your packages upon completion of your contract term, you won't have to pay any cancellation fee.

Can I switch from one contract to another for the new packs? Will I be charged a switching fee?

For Residential Astro Pay TV customers: You may change your contract from e.g., 12-month to 24-month without incurring a switching fee or cancellation fee. However, if you change your contract from e.g., 24-month to 12-month, will be charged a cancellation fee accordingly if still within minimum term (contract) period. No switching fee applicable.

Can I purchase movies on My Astro?

Yes, you can purchase Astro First and Astro Best content by using the app and web. Refer below for the steps to purchase movies via this app and web. Thereafter, you can watch them on Astro Go.

    This app is so annoying. Every time I open it, it's always showing Bloomberg, which I don't even subscribe to. I've been trying to add more channels to my favorites for the past 30 minutes and only managed to add one. It's so frustrating!

    The server is really slow, it's like living in a village. Maybe they don't want to spend money on a better server. I can't even see my account section, which is important because I need to check the outstanding balance. I don't understand what kind of technology they're using. It takes a long time for the app to launch, maybe around 30 to 40 seconds just to get to the landing page.

    I see what you're saying. You're still facing the same issue where the message "something went wrong" pops up when you try to view your bill, right? You feel frustrated because the app doesn't seem to work at all. And even when you tried using a web browser to check your bill, it didn't work because you couldn't sign in. The pop-up message said "You have been signed out." It sounds like a really frustrating situation for you.

    So, you used to pay your bills easily through online banking on this app before. You didn't even need a credit card for that. But now, it seems like the option for online banking payment is gone, and they only allow payments through credit cards. You're wondering why this change happened and why you can't use online banking anymore. You really need an answer to this issue.

    I only rated one star because zero isn't an option. This app is terrible. You have to reinstall it every time you want to log in for each billing cycle. It's a media company that's been around for 20 years, yet they can't even maintain a decent app for users. Either the IT team or the management subcontractors are doing a terrible job.

    Around a year ago, the app was working fine. However, lately it's been shutting down shortly after you start it up. You can't even get past the loading screen! Today is August 4th, 2021, and the last update for the app was on January 24th, 2021.

    I found out the problem. It was because of the Adguard DNS server I was using. I'm curious why Astro was blocked by Adguard. On June 17th, when I tried to use it, all I saw was a blank white screen. I'm not sure what the problem is. Even after trying to uninstall and reinstall it, the issue still persists.
