Connecting to the Internet in the parks: Without a strong Internet signal, wait times, park hours & schedules may not update accurately. You can see if your device is connected properly by checking under Settings.

Note: Some features in this app will require your full name, country, birthdate & email address, as well as access to your location data. If Bluetooth is enabled on your device, this app will also collect your precise location information through beacon technology to improve your in-park experience, such as wait times. To facilitate the sign-in process, the app will also require access to your email address, stored within Account Manager.

This app may request access to your camera to capture media & scan barcodes. Some Disney PhotoPass Lenses may use information on your device to detect face & hand coordinates. The app may request access to your external storage to cache certain data for offline browsing.

Optional planning tools may also ask you to provide details about your travel party. Some features in this app include the ability to make purchases & will require a Wi-Fi or mobile carrier data connection. Message, data and roaming rates may apply. Availability subject to handset limitations and features may vary by handset or service provider. Coverage and app stores not available everywhere. Guests must be 18 years or older to make purchases.

What Is Disney Genie Service?

Our complimentary Disney Genie service helps you enjoy more of the magic during your theme park visit with 2 easy-to-use features.

The My Day feature lets you see your booked theme park plans for the day in one place. Plus, get personalized recommendations customized to your preferences.

How It Works

Disney Genie service is located in the My Disney Experience app, and you can get the magic started even before you visit the theme parks!

Be sure you have the latest version of the My Disney Experience app and log in to your Disney account.

You'll need both valid admission and a theme park reservation for the same park on the same day, linked to your account in the app.

Summon Disney Genie service by selecting the icon on the app home screen.

Choose the experiences you'd most like to do and then select your interests.

Once you've completed these steps, you will see the My Day section, where you will find planning tools and itinerary recommendations for your visit.

Disney MagicMobile Service

This complimentary app feature allows you convenient access to select theme park and Resort amenities through an eligible Android phone, iPhone or Apple Watch.

Use Disney MagicMobile service to:

Enter theme parks (with valid admission and theme park reservation)

Connect Disney PhotoPass images to your Disney account

Redeem virtual queue and Lightning Lane selections

Q:

I am an Annual Passholder, but I’m not in my renewal window. Can I customize my pass to add one of the new add-on options?

A:

You will be able to purchase these new Annual Passes and add-ons when it is time to renew. Add-ons are not available for EPCOT After 4, Weekday Select, Theme Park Select, Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Platinum Plus Annual Passes.

Passholders with a Disney Incredi-Pass, Disney Sorcerer Pass, Disney Pirate Pass or Disney Pixie Dust Pass may choose to customize their pass with an add-on option outside their renewal window.

Annual Pass add-on options expire on the same date as the pass that they are tied to.

What are good-to-go days?

A:

Good-to-go days are select days when Passholders may visit a Walt Disney World theme park without needing a theme park reservation (subject to pass blockout dates and capacity limitations).

Passholders can learn which days are good-to-go days by checking the following:

Theme park reservation calendar

Annual Passholder admissions calendar

Home screen of the My Disney Experience app (if their pass is linked to their MyDisney account)

Good-to-go days will be added periodically.

If a Passholder has an upcoming theme park reservation that becomes a good-to-go day, they will still be able to view their previous reservation in the My Plans section in My Disney Experience, but the reservation will be removed and no longer count against their maximum reservation hold.

What is the Family & Friends list?

A:

The Family & Friends list in My Disney Experience allows you to quickly add your family and friends to your dining and hotel reservations. Plus, when you connect with other Guests who have a registered Disney account, you are able to share information with them about your vacation activities and make plans together.

How to Add People to Your Family & Friends List

To add people, go to your Family & Friends list and tap "Add a Guest".

If the Guest is already using a Disney account in connection with their vacation planning, you can:

Use the search tool to find them and invite them to connect

Look for them in "Guests You May Know"

Connect with them via a Walt Disney World Resort hotel reservation

If the Guest does not have a Disney account, or is not planning to use their Disney account for vacation planning:

Tap "Add a new Guest who doesn't have a Disney account" or "Add a New Guest"

Planning with Family & Friends

Once you add everyone in your travel party to your Family & Friends list, you can link tickets, make park reservations, link Resort hotel reservations, share photos—and plan your magical Disney vacation together!

Q:

In My Disney Experience, how can multiple adults or teens make plans for a child?

A:

In the Family & Friends section of My Disney Experience, you can create a profile for a child under age 13. Simply create a profile you will manage by entering the child’s name and birth date.

When you create a profile for a child, you are the only person who can edit the profile, set permissions and approve connections for that child. The child’s profile cannot be transferred to another person to manage.

Only create one profile per child. Creating multiple profiles for an individual may result in issues accessing travel plans and Lightning Lane entrances.

Any Guest age 13 and older who does not have a MyDisney account may create an account at any time. If you make plans on behalf of a Guest who later creates a MyDisney account, be sure to invite that Guest to connect with you in Family & Friends using their MyDisney account email. This allows the plans you’ve made to migrate to the other Guest’s account.

To invite someone to take over the plans you’ve made for them, go to your Family & Friends list, select the “Settings” button next to that person’s name and select “Invite to Manage Their Own Plans.”

    Oh, definitely avoid using this at the park! It's the worst navigation system ever. Trying to find attractions with it is almost impossible. It's like the map is upside down and you end up walking in the wrong way. Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom were a bit easier to figure out, but Hollywood Studios and Epcot were just terrible. Things improved a lot when we resorted to using a printed paper map. Disney really needs to get rid of this feature if they can't fix it. Plus, lots of the information about attractions and rides was totally wrong.

    This app is just not good. It's so hard to use and doesn't make any sense. I wish I could turn back time and go back to the 2019 app. That app was really easy to use and didn't constantly bother you with ideas and ads. Finding your trip schedule in this app is a mess. It took me a while, but I finally figured it out. It wasn't clear at all. The old app had all the days laid out nicely for you to scroll through. It was simple and straightforward. It was really fun to use. I'm not feeling too optimistic about using this app at the park.

    It is amazing how everything you need is right on your fingertips. In the future, I hope to see character and ride locations available even after the park closes; this would make planning much easier. I absolutely adore being able to use mobile order through the app. Have you thought about implementing virtual lines to help guests maximize their time at the park instead of waiting in line? I believe that would be a valuable feature to add to the app. Thank you for introducing Disney Play - it's so entertaining!
