Guide

Plant, Cold, Air, Water, and Earth Islands are the "Natural Islands", as they only require purchasing Single Element Monsters and breeding to populate the island. The Mirror Islands are mirror versions of the Natural Islands, only with a slightly different appearance and arrangement (since 4.4.0). All Mirror island cost Diamonds, each one getting 100 Diamonds more expensive as you go (Mirror Plant costs 100, Mirror Cold costs 200, Mirror Air costs 300, Mirror Water costs 400, and Mirror Earth costs 500).

When a Natural Island (other than Plant Island or Mirror Plant Island) is bought from the Map or Market, a Ready-to-hatch Tweedle will be in the Nurseries already. Similarly, when Ethereal Workshop is discovered for the first time, a Ready-to-hatch Meebkin will be in the Synthesizer as well instead.

Gold Island is where monsters are placed once they have leveled to 15, while Magical Nexus's level requirement is 18, the latter only occurs via Transporting. No currency is produced on Gold Island, so it is mainly to show off. The Ethereal and Shugabush Islands (except Ethereal Workshop) require teleporting monsters from the Natural Islands to begin breeding (Single Element Ethereals and the Shugabush, respectively). Tribal Island is a place for players to form a Tribe and get as many members as possible to complete the song and free the mysterious Kayna.

Wublin Island contains unique monsters, called Wublins, that need to be "awoken" by zapping eggs of the monsters found on the Natural Islands into their statues. The Fire Islands are two islands (Fire Haven and Fire Oasis) are locations where the natural monsters can breed with the Kayna to create some of the Fire-based hybrids formerly exclusive to the prequel game.

Composer Island is very different than the other islands; it allows the player to create their own unique tunes for each Monster. Other attributes are that it is the largest island in the game, and multiple Monsters of the same species can have different songs. There are many other islands as well (See above).

Across each island is a unique themed song (before 4.4.0, this was in effect when it excluded the Mirror Islands, which were formerly the same as their regular counterparts), made by the combinations of each Monster's tune. Most of the songs are generally between one and two minutes long, and consist of a combination of singing, percussion, and tuned instruments. Each song is played in 3D sound, which allows monsters to be heard distinctly from a certain side.

Monsters

Main article: Monsters

The Monsters are what the game is all about, as there are currently 442 monsters found in the game and they are categorized into different classes: Natural, Fire, Ethereal, Magical, Seasonal, Supernatural, Legendary, Mythical (formerly known as PlayStation Vita Exclusive), Dipster, Celestial, Rare, and Epic.

Natural Monsters

Main article: Natural Monsters

Natural Monsters are the most basic class of Monsters and the most widely seen in the game. They each have a different element configuration based on the elements that they do have. They can also be bred to make more complex Monsters. However, the more elements the Monster has, the harder it is for them to be bred successfully.

There are five different elements that Natural Monsters could have: Plant, Cold, Air, Water and Earth. Four of these elements are available on each Natural Island, which means that certain monsters are not available on certain islands. Three of these elements are only available on both Fire Haven and Fire Oasis, and two are only available in the Magical Islands.

Fire Monsters

Main article: Fire Monsters

Fire Monsters are a class of Monsters with the Fire element, but can also have one or more of the Natural elements that used to be apart of the Natural Monsters in My Singing Monsters: Dawn of Fire, but became their own group. The first of the Fire Monsters to appear in the original is the Kayna who is located on Tribal Island when the Fire element manifested, but it later Fire Haven was released as the first Fire Island.

Magical Monsters

Main article: Magical Monsters

Magical Monsters are a unique class of Monsters first discovered by Kayna and its companions as they were awaiting reinforcements on Fire Frontier. There are four elements that a Magical Monsters can have: Psychic, Bone, Light and Faerie. Magical Monsters can exist on a Magical Island that has one of these elements. Like the Fire Monsters, there are no guarantees of getting these monsters on the first try.

Ethereal Monsters

Main article: Ethereal Monsters

Ethereal Monsters are a much rarer class of Monsters than their Natural and Fire counterparts and can have one or two elements they possess:

Single Element Ethereal Monsters must be bred from a Quad Element Natural Monster and a Triple Element Natural Monster. Double Element Ethereal Monsters are only found on Ethereal Island, where they can be bred from combinations of Single Element Ethereal Monsters teleported from the Natural Islands to Ethereal Island. Triple and Quad Ethereals (including the Quint Ethereal BeMeebEth) must be synthesized by attuning Meebs in the Synthesize on Ethereal Workshop and they only appear in such "island".

Seasonal Monsters

Main article: Seasonal Monsters

Core Seasonal Monsters and Aux. Seasonal Monsters, formerly known as Special Edition Monsters or Limited Edition Monsters, are a class of Monsters that are only available during their respective holiday seasons, out-of-season events, and/or during the Anniversary Event.

Core Seasonals can only be found on the Natural Island the seasonal event happens (except Hoola, which can also be found on Air Island) and Aux. Seasonals can be found across the other islands (most only on the island where their seasonal event occurs, except Gobbleygourd who can also be found on Fire Oasis, Monculus who can also be purchased on Wublin Island when available, and Viveine who can also be found on Shugabush Island) as well as Seasonal Shanty, an island where the Core Seasonals can be teleported on which they can breed to make an Aux. Seasonal or a generic Seasonal, which can also be directly teleported here from other islands.

Legendary Monsters

Main article: Legendary Monsters

Legendary Monsters are a class of Monsters split into two groups: Shugafam and Werdos.

Shugafam

Main article: Shugafam

Shugafam are a type of Legendary Monster that are only found on Shugabush Island, with the sole exception of the Shugabush itself, which is also found on Plant Island and can be placed on Gold Island. The Shugafam is based on country singer Kristian Bush and his band, Sugarland.

Werdos

Main article: Werdos

Werdos are a type of Legendary Monster that are so rare you can only buy with Relics. They sing English lyrics throughout the entire song. They are based on the voice actors of My Singing Monsters and can only be found on the Natural Islands, including the Mirror Islands as well.

Supernatural Monsters

Main article: Supernatural Monsters

There are two kinds of Supernatural Monsters in existence: the Wubbox and the Wublins. What all Supernatural Monsters have in common is that they require a specified number of monsters themselves (for the Wubbox) or monster eggs (for the Wublins) to be powered up.

The Wubbox can be purchased on every Natural Island, Gold Island, Wublin Island, Fire Haven, Fire Oasis, and on Ethereal Island. Wublin statues or the Wubbox can be bought at Wublin Island, which only become active monsters when woken up. Only Wubbox is eligible to be placed on Gold Island. (P.S. Rare Wubbox and Epic Wubbox also count as Wubboxes, but are more limited on islands they are on.)

Mythical Monsters

Main article: Mythical Monsters

Mythical Monsters were originally only obtainable on PS Vita but are since Version 2.3.2 also available on Mobile (iOS and Android). They cannot be placed on Gold Island, and are only found on one Island each, including those in Fire Haven and Fire Oasis. As of Version 3.7.1, with the release of Mythical Island, Mythicals can teleport to there at level 15 and breed with the Cataliszt to make Dreamythicals.

Dipsters

Main article: Dipsters

Dipsters are monsters that have the Dipster element and only play one music note. They pop up from the ground each time they sing a note. Every note is a "dip," singing a certain pitch depending on what their name is. They also have different natural items on their heads.

Celestials

Main article: Celestials

Celestials are an ancient class of Monsters that are exclusive to Celestial Island (unlocked at level 15). Like Wublins, they are bought from the Market and brought to life by zapping Natural Monster eggs to them. They are bought with Diamonds. They debuted in My Singing Monsters: Dawn of Fire where they resided on Starhenge.

Rare Monsters

Main article: Rare Monsters

Rare Monsters are rarer versions of the Monsters found in My Singing Monsters. For more information about Rare Monsters, please see the Rare Monsters category. Oddly enough, the class "Rare" is a subclass of the class "Natural". However, the "Epic" class is not.

Epic Monsters

Main article: Epic Monsters

Epic Monsters are even rarer versions of the Monsters found in My Singing Monsters, which can only be bred with 2 monsters, with the combination changing for each island. For more information about Epic Monsters, please see the Epic Monsters category.

Currency

Main article: Currency

The main currency is Coins, which can be used to:

Buy most monsters and decorations

Purchase Islands

Produce Treats, which in turn can level up monsters.

There are other types of Currency, which can be obtained with specific means. See the main page for details.

Costs are through the roof. Waiting becomes dull. Spending so much just for basic stuff feels frustrating. Kids aged 6-8 have to wait forever and spend real cash. It's a total cash grab. I already paid to remove four things from my island. Why all the waiting? Also, if there’s going to be a spin-the-wheel feature, ads close before they finish. That’s super annoying. It would be great to see more minigames added!

I've been playing this game for years, and it has my heart. Recently, though, a new feature changed everything for me. The new map really messed with the original flow of the game. It adds so much loading time and those animations when moving between islands feel too much. Everything feels sluggish and disconnected now. I wish they’d give us a way to switch back to the old carousel map. That would let players get around faster and keep the fun going.

Pop-up ads pop up everywhere. The new update is frustrating. It feels overwhelming, too much chaos on the map. Opening the map becomes a struggle. It takes me directly to fire land every time. I can't stand it. Collecting coins feels like a never-ending task. Unlocking new content shouldn't feel forced or impossible.

The game is a lot of fun. It has some systems that scream for you to spend money on microtransactions. Still, you can enjoy the game without them. The new map system? It’s a mess. Traveling from one island to another takes forever compared to the old carousel. It feels like a design choice meant to eat up your time.

I really love this game, but there's a problem. My Colossingum, Amber Island, and Composer Island all look like they’re stuck in the Mind Boggle update. The thing is, Mind Boggle doesn't come out until September, and right now it’s only May 4th. I hope you can fix this soon!
