The official Australian Government myGov app allows you to conveniently use myGov on your mobile device.

Step-by-Step Process

1.Visit the myGov Website: Go to my.gov.au.

2.Select ‘Create an account’: Click on the option to create a new account.

3.Agree to Terms of Use: Read and accept the terms of use by selecting ‘I agree’.

4.Enter Your Email Address: Input a unique email address (it cannot be shared with another myGov account) and click ‘Next’.

5.Verify Your Email: Check your email for a confirmation code, enter it on the website, and select ‘Next’.

6.Enter Mobile Number (Optional): If you have a mobile number, enter it for added security and click ‘Next’. You will receive a verification code via SMS.

7.Create a Password: Choose a strong password (10-64 characters, including at least one letter and one number) and confirm it.

8.Set Up Secret Questions: Choose three secret questions from the list or create your own, then provide answers that are easy for you to remember.

9.Complete Account Setup: After successfully completing these steps, you will receive your myGov username via email. Select ‘Continue to myGov’ to start using your account.

The myGov app simplifies interactions with the government and makes it easy for you to:

- Securely sign in to myGov on your mobile using a myGov app PIN, fingerprint recognition, and face recognition

- View and manage your myGov Inbox messages effortlessly

- Quickly access your services

- Store selected government digital cards and certificates in the digital wallet

To set up the app, you must have a myGov account. If you do not have an account, you can create one on the myGov site at my.gov.au.
