USING GUIDE

mySolarEdge is a free Android application developed by SolarEdge Technologies that allows users to manage their SolarEdge smart energy devices. The app enables users to track their energy consumption and production in real-time with mobile-optimized features. With mySolarEdge, users can also identify ways to become more energy-efficient and control their smart home devices. Additionally, the app allows users to manage SolarEdge EV charging remotely and view solar inverter status for quick troubleshooting using step-by-step instructions and easy-to-read menus in SetApp-enabled inverters only. Users can also set up inverter communication and network settings in SetApp-enabled inverters only. However, to get monitoring permissions, users need to contact their installer. Also, for energy usage monitoring, a consumption meter is required.

    This app makes checking your system's performance a breeze. You can monitor production levels in real-time and troubleshoot any issues right away. However, there's room for improvement. The history feature only shows the full day's production, without specifics on individual panels. It would be great to track if a specific panel is underperforming and for how long. Currently, you can only view individual panel production for the current day. Capturing daily end-of-day screenshots seems to be the only way to keep track of this data.

    I've reported my issues, but no one has gotten back to me. The new app needs me to scan one inverter at a time. But when I open the app again, it doesn't remember the inverters and I have to scan them all once more. And I can only do one at a time. It's frustratingly slow. This just isn't what users should go through when transitioning to a new app is a must.

    I really like this app! It would be great if it could let me know when an inverter fails in a multi-inverter system. I also wish it had a feature to show a graph of the energy produced by each string or selected panels, so I could compare the output from panels facing east, west, and south. The surplus solar EV charging setting is helpful for making the most of self-consumption. When I use the import/export meter with the app, I can see the total consumption, self-consumption, imported, exported, and solar energy displayed with different colors on area graphs and bar charts.
