How to Get Pregnant Faster

Are you thinking "I need to get pregnant this month"? Or do you wonder how long it will take to get pregnant when you do start trying? We know that this can be an anxious time for some of us, and playing the waiting game isn’t fun. However, we know a thing or two about female health - we've even published research on how long it takes to get pregnant. So whether you want to get pregnant straight away or sometime in the future, we’re on hand to share knowledge about how to get pregnant faster.

How to get pregnant fast naturally

First off, let’s remember that everyone’s fertility journey is different. Our bodies and cycles aren’t the same and there isn’t one hack for how to conceive fast. For some people, it can happen quickly, and for others, it can take more time. That said, there are a few things you can do that can help you along the way and may just help you get pregnant fast naturally.

Tips for getting pregnant fast

From taking it easy to becoming an expert on your body, here are a few tips to help you get started on your fertility journey:

Don’t stress!

We know that this one’s easier said than done, but there’s a direct link between stress and the menstrual cycle. In fact, feeling stressed or anxious can actually cause ovulation to be delayed, or sometimes skipped altogether, this is known as anovulation - and is quite common, with most of us at some point experiencing an anovulatory cycle.

Being stressed out can make it harder to get pregnant fast. This is counterintuitive when you may be feeling the pressure to get pregnant now! If you feel able, it’s a good idea to take a step back, take things easy and try to find ways to relax.

Put your health first

Selfcare is a great way to reduce stress levels and be kind to your mind, but looking after your body is just as important too! Eating healthily and getting regular exercise can help you get pregnant. Plus getting the right nutrients also promotes the healthy development of your baby throughout pregnancy.

When it comes to introducing healthy habits, it’s always a good idea to start small. No one can overhaul their whole routine overnight, but if you can add a few more active minutes to every day with some gentle exercise like walking or yoga, you’re well on your way to a healthier lifestyle.

Come off hormonal birth control

Coming off the pill when you want to get pregnant may seem obvious, but for some of us it’s a good idea to stop sooner rather than later. In fact, it can take some time for your body to go back to how it was before taking hormones, depending on a number of factors including how long you’ve been on hormonal birth control and the method itself, you may experience irregular cycles for up to 12 months after you stop taking hormonal birth control.

In order to get pregnant faster, it’s a good idea to stop taking hormonal birth control a bit before you want to get pregnant so you can give your body a chance to readjust to its natural cycle. However, there’s always a risk you can fall pregnant immediately, and if you don’t want to get pregnant straight away, it’s best to use a non-hormonal birth control option until you’re ready.

Get to know your cycle

Knowledge is power, and that’s also true when it comes to getting pregnant faster. When it comes to how to conceive, many people’s strategy is to have sex most days throughout the cycle, the truth is you’re only fertile for six days. If you can identify this fertile window, you’ll know when’s the best time to have sex so you can plan pregnancy with precision.

At Natural Cycles we use a temperature-based method paired with an algorithm to find the pattern of your cycle in order to find your ovulation day. This science is really useful for those of us who want to conceive. A recent study found that couples who used Natural Cycles to plan pregnancy got pregnant in three cycles on average. What’s more, you can use Natural Cycles as birth control until you’re ready to try for a baby, and then you’ll already know fertile days when you decide to start a family.

The best positions to get pregnant fast

You may have heard that lying on your back with your legs in the air can help you get pregnant, and some people say that certain sex positions can not only help you get pregnant faster but can help also you choose whether you conceive a boy or a girl! We’re here to debunk these myths.

In fact, there’s no research out there to suggest that different sex positions can help you conceive. When it comes to getting pregnant it turns out that when you do it is far more important than how you do it.

What to eat to get pregnant fast

Unfortunately, there are also no magic foods that can help you get pregnant faster. (Although it’s a good idea to make sure you’re eating a healthy balanced diet.) However, if you’re trying to get pregnant it’s a good idea to add a supplement of folic acid to your diet, as this can be really helpful for the development of your baby’s spine and brain.

Doctors recommend taking folic acid at least three months before you plan to get pregnant and throughout the first twelve weeks of pregnancy. To learn more about pregnancy diet, check out our tips on what to eat while pregnant.

What to do if you can’t get pregnant

If you’ve been trying for a while and haven’t conceived yet, there is help out there. Under normal circumstances, the general advice is to try for twelve months before you do consult with a healthcare professional. However, if you have questions or concerns you can talk to your doctor at any stage. It’s also a good idea to talk to a healthcare professional earlier if you’re over the age of 35 or have a family history of reduced fertility.

When you visit your healthcare professional they may recommend diet and lifestyle changes alongside routine fertility testing for you and your partner.

WHY NATURAL CYCLES?

Natural Cycles is more than a period tracker. Most other fertility tracking apps assume your cycle is 28 days long, even though 87% of women have cycle lengths that don't fit into the 28 day pattern.. We understand that birth control is not a one-size-fits-all. Your cycle is unique to you! Our algorithm uses personalized temperature data to confirm your ovulation, reducing the risk of you being assigned an incorrect fertile day. Unlike period trackers, the NC° app allows you to identify your fertility status daily, so you can prevent pregnancy or plan for it with greater precision. From birth control to planning pregnancy and every cycle in between – Natural Cycles is there for you with each stage of your fertility journey. Still not sure? Download the app and test out our Demo Mode. The app supports syncing with Apple Health.

I've been using the app for a couple of days already. It has loads of fantastic information and it's really easy to grasp the method. One thing that bugs me, unrelated to the app itself, is that the thermometer can be quite tricky to read early in the morning. Another issue is that the temperatures, including saved ones, disappear from the screen too swiftly. This is inconvenient since you can't retake the temperature readings easily.

I have been using this app for a month. I really like the way it looks as it is very attractive and user-friendly. However, I dislike that the thermometer cannot connect to the app. It is challenging to read the temperature in the dark without a backlit screen, and it takes a long time to measure the temperature. Though the app stores the latest reading, it disappears quickly when trying to find it again. Despite these issues, I will keep using this app because the information and tracking features are accurate.

The app is easy to use and provides ample information along with excellent customer support to help you reach your goals. I have only used it for birth control. However, it can be hard to trust the accuracy of the app's suggestions, especially when the estimated ovulation date varies greatly depending on the data you input. It focuses on minor fluctuations in basal body temperature, but I have observed significant differences in readings taken one after another.

Oh no, had to get a new phone. Loaded the app but now when I log in just get a blank screen. Seems like this is the new version that isn't working. Might have to cancel my subscription and look for another app. The old version was fantastic. Can't use this app now. Developer sent me a link to their web app with the same issue. Still hoping for a solution. Keeping it at one star. Company's response is they don't make the app for my phone's screen shape.

There is just one issue I have with the thermometer - it doesn't sync with the app, making it easy to miss the temperature reading because you can't retrieve the record. Daisy has a not-so-great app, but their thermometer, using Bluetooth to sync temps to their app, is excellent! It's extremely user-friendly and allows quick access to historical data. I appreciate that it notifies me when I might be PMSing based on my previous inputs. Plus, all the factual notices are really informative, relevant, and easy to understand.

To me, this app is like a mom and doctor rolled into one when it comes to learning about my body. It has provided me with valuable information and boosted my confidence in planning for pregnancy. I highly suggest this app for both birth control and preparing for pregnancy. It supports you at every stage and is definitely worth the investment! ❀
