1. What is the Nighthawk App?

The NETGEAR Nighthawk app is a simple-to-use platform for managing all your NETGEAR Nighthawk devices and services. It offers a clear dashboard containing high-level information about your network overall, your Wi-Fi settings, internet speed, parental control and security settings, and more. The Nighthawk app provides convenient access to your NETGEAR router’s features and allows you to manage your network from anywhere.

2. What Does the Nighthawk App Do?

The Nighthawk app allows you to conveniently access all the various features of your router. For example, if you have a Nighthawk RS700S WiFi 7 Router , you can fully control it, including completely pausing your Wi-Fi and running system updates. The Nighthawk app provides access to set up and monitor Smart Parental Control features for each device. For maximum protection of your network and devices, the Nighthawk app allows you full access and control of your NETGEAR Armor security settings.

The app allows you to monitor & control features like internet speed, guest Wi-Fi, traffic meter and more. Remote access means you can carry out all of the App’s functions from anywhere you want.

3. Do I Need The Nighthawk App?

You need the Nighthawk app in order to see your connected devices and access your router features, all from the palm of your hand. Alternatively, you can install and manage your NETGEAR router without using the Nighthawk app. To do so you will need to launch a web browser from a computer or mobile device that is connected to your router’s network and use NETGEAR router login. However, using the Nighthawk app is the easiest way to manage your router’s settings and wireless network.

1. How do I view my NETGEAR Armor subscription plan?

To view your NETGEAR Armor subscription plan on the Orbi or Nighthawk app:

    Launch the Orbi or Nighthawk app.

    Tap the (menu) icon on the top left of your screen.

    Tap MY SUBSCRIPTIONS > Security.

    The Security page displays your current Armor subscription status and expiration date.

To enable or disable subscription auto-renewal, tap the Auto renew toggle.

2. How do I enable or disable Anywhere Access on my NETGEAR Orbi or Nighthawk router?

    Connect your mobile device to your WiFi network.

    Launch the Orbi or Nighthawk app.

        The dashboard displays.

    Tap the Menu icon at the top left.

    Tap SETTINGS > Anywhere Access.

        The Anywhere Access page displays.

    Tap the Enable Anywhere Access toggle.

        The toggle background is green when Anywhere Access is enabled.

    Tap the back button at the top left.

        Your settings are saved.

3. How do I enable or disable the Traffic Meter in the Nighthawk app?

    Launch the Nighthawk app from a mobile device that is connected to your wireless network.

        The Dashboard displays.

    If you do not currently have Internet access on your home network, tap the menu in the upper left corner of the screen, tap your model number, and select Connected Locally if it is not already selected.

        If you are Connected via Anywhere Access, you must have an Internet connection to make changes to your router or modem's settings.

    Tap the Traffic Meter tile.

    Tap the toggle next to Enable.

        If Traffic meter is enabled, the toggle background appears green. If Traffic Meter is disabled, the toggle background appears gray.

    Tap the Back icon at the top left.

        Your settings are saved.
