NetMonster is an application that collects, displays, and stores information about nearby cell towers, each with its unique identifiers. In certain regions and countries, precise tower locations are accessible.

The app logs all cells to which your phone is actively connected until you close the application. Users have the option to manually adjust locations, view cells on a map, apply filters, and export all data.

Additionally, NetMonster visualizes signal fluctuations, provides brief explanations of the measurements taken, and explains how they impact reception quality or maximum theoretical speed.

Supported networks include GSM, CDMA, WCDMA, TD-SCDMA, 4G LTE, 5G NSA, and 5G SA. For LTE, NetMonster identifies aggregated carriers (LTE-Advanced). In areas where 5G NSA is available, users can determine if NSA is in use or only deployed. Furthermore, carrier aggregation in 4G+5G NSA is supported.

Using Guide

It delivers all the data that your smartphone provides via Android SDK. It's free and without annoying adverts.

NetMonster is partially open-source cause it's based on NetMonster Core, library build over Android Telephony SDK.

Main application functionalities:

- logging of cells that your phone connects to,

- guessing transmitter's location based on publicly available data,

- manual editing of cells,

- postprocessing of logged data, bringing more data to neighbouring cells,

- downloading precise location data for transmitters in supported countries and regions,

- manual upload of your data to location managers.

This app is good. The only issue is that you can only check network coverage details near you. If they allow checking coverage in any location, it will be perfect.

The log only keeps track of the towers or cells that your device is currently connected to and doesn't store information about all the nearby towers or cells.

I needed it, but the export function does not always work. Also, it no longer runs in the background when the screen is off.

A great cell tower monitoring tool for Android is Network Cell Info Lite. It provides highly accurate cell tower locations compared to other apps like OpenSignal. By using this app, you can easily track and monitor cell tower signals near your location with reliability and precision.

The app has a great, neat interface with no advertisements. A big thank you to the developer for making such an awesome app and not including any ads. I would love to see a donation option added so we can show our support by contributing.

It does a great job, especially when you are in a place with a weak cell signal, just so you know.

This map here, it's empty. No signs of any cell towers or signal strength at all. What's its use?

I downloaded an app to check if my connection was being interrupted by the cell tower. Then I tried out a few similar apps before going back to this one. I use it along with a signal booster to make sure I always have 5G coverage in my area. Sometimes I get switched to other connections, but I feel secure knowing that my technology is under control. Netmonster definitely lived up to its price!

This app is awesome for checking your cell connection and figuring out which carrier you're using! With Android 12, I don't see Carrier Aggregation info anymore. It would be cool if we could see the band number and frequency for all. Like how AT&T's Band 14 and 12 both show as 700. But AWS doesn't show the frequency.

The app is doing great, but it takes a while to gather the tower information. It only shows 4G towers and not the NSA 5G tower locations. Please update it to include the 5G tower locations.
