Q: Can I install and use Neutron on Android device without Google Play services?
A: Yes, it is possible. There are 2 possibilities:
Buy license via PayPro and install Neutron manually as described below.
Install Huawei AppGallery and buy license via in-app purchase mechanism (you will need to keep Huawei AppGallery installed on your device).
Q: Are there any themes for Neutron which could change its Look and Feel?
Neutron supports Dark (Default), Grey, Light themes. Additionally you can adjust UI appearance, colors and transparency of UI elements: Settings -> User Interface -> Appearance.
Q: How to create my own playlist and add tracks to it?
Navigate to the Media Library screen -> access the Playlists category -> press [+] button to create new playlist entry. To add tracks to the playlist -> long press the desired track or track list (album, folder, genre, ...) -> use +Playlist to add the track or group of tracks to the selected playlist. In the similar way you can add tracks to the Queue.
Q: Does Neutron download album art from the Internet?
A: No. Neutron looks for the album art in the directory with music files or extracts it from the metadata of the music file. There are many applications which are specializing on album art downloads. It does not make sense to duplicate such functionality in Neutron.
Q: I purchased Neutron in Google Play but still getting Trial Expires message?
A: Make sure that Google confirmed your purchase and e-mailed Purchase Confirmation to your Google account. Make sure your device has Google Play Store and Google Play Services installed and working, so you can see your purchases there. Note, sometimes Google Play Services misbehave by providing incorrect reply to the application's request for license validation.
There are 2 ways to try to fix this problem:
1. Easy:
Reboot device
Open Neutron from its page in Google Play Store app
Access Neutron's settings -> Help -> Account -> wait until progress bar stops and icon of Google entry becomes green
2. Moderate:
Access OS settings -> Apps -> find Google Play Store -> Clear data & cache, additionally you may want to Uninstall Updates and let Google update it again
Access OS settings -> Apps -> find Google Play Services -> Clear data & cache
Reboot device
Open Google Play Store app -> find Neutron -> open Neutron from its page by pressing Open button
Access Neutron's settings -> Help -> Account -> wait until progress bar stops and icon of Google entry becomes green
2. Complex:
Uninstall Neutron (backup /NeutronMP with all settings but normally it should persist if it is Android 10 or lower)
Access OS settings -> Apps -> find Google Play Store -> Clear data & cache, additionally you may want to Uninstall Updates and let Google update it again
Access OS settings -> Apps -> find Google Play Services -> Clear data & cache
Reboot device
Install and open Neutron from its page in Google Play Store app
Access Neutron's settings -> Help -> Account -> wait until progress bar stops and icon of Google entry becomes green
When Google entry becomes green it means that Neutron managed to check license in Google Play successfully and cached it for offline usage. Internet is not required for a subsequent launches of Neutron once you got green icon:
