nextbike - Bike sharing & rentals

Lately, I've been facing a lot of problems when trying to return my bike. Sometimes the lock is stuck or broken, so I struggle to get it to unlock. Other times, even when the lock is fine, the app doesn't recognize that I returned the bike, and I have to keep redoing it. The bikes from KVB are not in the best shape, even though they added some new ones recently. It's kind of like playing a game of chance to see if I'll actually get a bike that works properly.

Getting a rented bike can be tricky sometimes. Many times, you might struggle with returning it without facing unnecessary fees or needing to call for repairs. Also, the app tends to crash, the QR reader rarely works properly, and often it shows bikes that aren't available. On top of that, the bikes are usually in bad condition, making it frustrating for users. Personally, I've had three consecutive broken bikes, and when you attempt to exchange it, they still charge you a fee.

Bike app is terrible. Bikes mostly don't work. If bike's broken, need to call support but can't get money back. Even if you couldn't unlock and ride the bike.

Customer service is fast and dependable. The online shop isn't great. To get a discounted yearly plan with IKEA, you have to enter a code and finalize your order right away without any chance to edit it. Watch out for potential bike issues if the lock gets stuck. Other than that, the service is good.

Liked the service a lot in general. But not cool to get hit with extra fees due to wonky GPS. It's happened twice where I parked right, but the system said otherwise later. Luckily, the support team sorted it out each time. Would be great if the app could show whether the bike's GPS is inside the station or not. Just so you're not blindsided by unexpected charges. Show us more behind the scenes, please!
