Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds - Beginner Tips

Concentrate On Smashing Through Main Missions First

Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds

The game slowly introduces you to different features and mechanics as part of the main missions, so just concentrate on going through these and unlocking everything rather than getting sidetracked with exploring at first. You'll want to unlock Kingdoms, mounts, and dungeons as soon as possible.

Once you've unlocked most of what the game has to offer , that's when it feels like the game opens up a lot more, and you can take advantage of some of the benefits of the additional features.

Don't Forget To Claim Rewards

Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds

There are a few different types of completion collectibles that can earn you rewards. Essentially, most items you get or accomplishments you complete in-game will go towards an overall completion codex, which can earn you rewards. Completing in-game activities and collecting items can lead to rewards such as increasing your character, weapon, and familiar stats, as well as other rewards.

Simply go to the main menu, choose 'Records', then ensure you periodically grab your rewards for all four categories.

You'll get a little red exclamation mark icon to show you when there is something that is actionable in one of the menus, whether that's claiming a reward in the Records menu, powering up your gear and familiars, or other activities such as checking in your Dominion, claiming freebies from shops, and more. Make sure you pay attention to the little red exclamation mark icon.

Daily and Weekly Missions found in the Missions menu are a great way to earn some decent freebies, so check out the objectives and be sure to complete as many as you can.

Pay Attention To Elements

Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds

Cluu will give you a bit of an introduction to this, but elements are super important in the game. Monsters you encounter have an elemental type, so choosing the right elemental weapon and familiar to tackle them can make all the difference in battle.

Damage can be increased by 50 percent by choosing the correct element while choosing the wrong element can lead to a 50 percent decrease in damage.

The elemental cycle is as follows:

Fire > Earth > Water > Fire

Dark and Light are both weak to the other and strong against the other.

You can equip up to three weapons and three familiars, so be sure to choose a decent range of elemental types that you can easily change between during battle as needed. Your character won't automatically switch between elemental weapons with Auto-Battle.

Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds

These are the best familiars in all of Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds.

Don't Neglect To Upgrade Your Weapons, Armor, Familiars, And Mounts

Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds

Just about everything you get in Cross Worlds can be upgraded and though the game will mention this briefly as part of the usual tutorial process, don't forget to actually keep doing it. Even your mount can be powered up, which in turn increases your character's combat power.

You're also stronger for each familiar you have equipped, so be sure to equip all three familiars as soon as you have all slots unlocked, regardless of whether you actually only favor one (though you should use a few to cover different elements).

Look Out For Treasure Chests And Vistas

Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds

Hidden around the world of Ni no Kuni are various treasure chests and vistas. Finding these and opening/interacting with them will earn you various rewards, such as items and stat increases. You can track which chests and vistas you have yet to find in each area via the main menu by choosing Records, then the Record option.

You can also find normal treasure chests that respawn scattered around , but you'll need Treasure Chest Keys to open these, which can be earned a number of ways, such as quest rewards or by defeating enemies, or you can simply purchase some from the shop.

Destroy Boxes/Urns Every Day

Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds

There are lots of urns and boxes scattered around Ni no Kuni and if you give them a good kick, you might just get a good reward in return. You can earn 30 items from destroying urns/boxes each day.

Most of the time you'll get Wooden Fuse Badges to use in the Fuse Pot, but sometimes you'll get something rarer, like one of the class-specific bird hats.

I love everything about it - the graphics, voices, and characters are all fantastic! At first, the story can be a little confusing, but as you continue, it starts making sense. However, I wish the auto play feature could be removed because sometimes the story moves too quickly and becomes hard to follow. I wanted to play the game, but alas, all the servers were full, and it took forever to load. And to top it off, it didn't even finish loading in the end, which is frustrating and disappointing. I'll give it three stars for now until these issues are resolved.

The game's art style is really impressive, and the voice acting is pretty good. However, things start to go downhill quickly. The game starts moving you around automatically right from the beginning, and the fights also happen on their own without any clear option to turn this off. I downloaded this game to play, not to just watch what's happening. If I can find out how to fix this issue, my review might change. (Edit) I managed to figure out how to disable the automatic modes.

Wow, everyone needs to pay attention. The game is in the pre-download phase, and it's clearly stated that the official launch is on the 25th. Come on now, give credit where it's due. The developers have put in a lot of effort for this. Don't go giving them a bad rating for something that isn't even their fault. And to the developers: The game already looks amazing; the transitions are seamless, and the pre-download waiting game was adorable! Keep it up, looking forward to the release!

The game's visuals are amazing, among the best I've seen for an Android game. The dialogue is really good too. However, many people have mentioned that navigation in the game is really bad. Your character automatically runs to things and even attacks enemies without your input. It takes away from the gameplay experience. Players should have the option to turn off these features. A helpful arrow pointing towards the next objective, like in BioShock, would be a great addition.

This game is really enjoyable, especially with the auto features that can be stopped easily by tapping a quest again. However, the frustrating part for me is having to wait 20-30 minutes in a queue unless I subscribe. Mobile games should be quick to access for a brief moment of free time, but waiting in line often means missing that window. If this happened once or twice a day during peak times, I might consider subscribing. But now I'm thinking about finding a different game to play instead.

Totally bummed out. The game practically plays itself unless you switch off auto mode. I don't get it, why would the developers make grinding necessary only to have a feature that makes it easier? It's just poor game design. I'd prefer a shorter but more engaging experience rather than watching my character do everything automatically. It's sad because the game looks fantastic, it's adorable, and the sound is top-notch. Really disappointing. My excitement completely faded.

Wow, the game was pretty enjoyable. I mean, it might have been a bit repetitive and the story wasn't that engaging, plus those Territe drops were just awful. But, let me tell you, the art was stunning! And being able to personalize your own forest was such a neat feature. Well, I used to think so until recently. For the last two days, I've been facing incredible queues with over 100 people waiting ahead of me just to get into the game. Ain't nobody got time for that! It's sad because I really liked the game, but if I can't even play it, then what's the point? I'm going to have to uninstall it. Who knows, maybe someday they'll fix these issues and I'll give it another shot.

The art, animation, and voice acting are all top-notch. The issue is that everything is automated! All I have to do is tap the screen to progress the dialogue or select the next mission. It feels like I'm not really playing the game, just clicking to watch a cartoon and advance to the next scene. I tried to find a way to disable the automation feature but couldn't. If there's no way to turn it off, then this game isn't worth playing. It's just dull.
