As the solving progresses, spaces assist in predicting where a clue (a consecutive block of boxes and a digit in the legend) may extend. Solvers often mark certain space cells with dots or crosses.

It's imperative to avoid guessing as a single mistake can propagate throughout the grid and compromise the entire solution. Only fill cells that can be logically deduced. If uncertainty arises, it's advisable to try another puzzle and return later, thanks to the auto-save feature.
