Contacting 911 can take a few minutes

GPS location may not be accurate

Have you ever found yourself in a situation where you’re unsure if it warrants calling 911? Instead of struggling with indecision, rely on Noonlight. Using cutting-edge technology, Noonlight swiftly dispatches emergency assistance to your specific location with just the press of a button. It’s designed for times when you feel uneasy or require immediate help.

Noonlight: Feel Protected 24/7 or simply Noonlight is a free handy lifestyle mobile app that enables you to make yourself feel safe in uneasy situations. Developed by SafeTrek, Inc., Noonlight was formerly known as SafeTrek and is a connected safety platform that can trigger requests for emergency services. It’s easy to use so you won’t fumble with your phone when you’re stressed out or unfocused. The app uses your GPS location to contact 911 and your local police, allowing you to get help even without texting or calling. Unfortunately, this app can’t be used outside of the US.

A silent guardian

Noonlight acts as both a personal security app and a convenient panic button. There will always be moments wherein you’ll find yourself in a situation that can feel scary but might not be a good reason to call the police for. To address this, Noonlight lets you press and hold its button while you feel uneasy. Once you feel safe or have arrived somewhere that is safe enough, you can release the button and enter your 4-digit PIN to cancel the alarm that’s about to be triggered.

This notifies the app and the emergency dispatchers that you’re okay. If you do need help, however, simply don’t input your PIN until the 10 seconds are up. Your GPS location will be sent and a dispatcher will text or call you soon to check if you still need the police. You can also directly trigger the app’s alarm or set a timer so the app will check up on you afterward.

Noonlight’s interface is straightforward to use—its panic button is more than huge and dead-center so you can’t miss it. However, the reliability of the app isn’t accurate. After it determines that you need help, disseminating your location to 911 authorities can take a few minutes—which are pretty crucial in dangerous situations. The GPS locations can also be off the mark, which can hinder the police. Nevertheless, its features let you feel at ease.

Contact the police with just a tap

Noonlight (previously known as Safetrek) is an app that lets you contact the police in a flash, simply by tapping a button on your smartphone screen. As soon as you do, the police will be notified of your location and come as quickly as possible.

The way Noonlight works is easy: if you're afraid for any reason, or you're in a dangerous situation, all you have to do is press (and keep pressing) the blue button. As soon as you release your finger, the app notifies the authorities, who will then immediately come to your aid. If, on the contrary, the situation you're in is no longer dangerous, or you simply want to cancel the alert, all you have to do is enter your four-digit security code.

In order to create a Noonlight account, you'll need a phone number from the United States. Although there's a month-long free trial, the monthly subscription costs $2.99, which you can pay directly from the app itself. From the options menu, you can cancel your subscription at any time.

Noonlight is a very useful app for all kinds of people. With it, you can rest easy knowing that, in less than three seconds, the police will come help you as quickly as they can. And you can do it just by pressing a button, without having to make a call and without having to say or type a single word, either.

How It Works

1 Feeling unsafe? Open Noonlight and hold the button.

2 Once you're safe, release the button and enter your 4-digit PIN.

3 In danger? Release the button and do not enter your PIN. We'll notify police with your exact location and emergency.

Here’s how effortless it is:

1.Press and hold the button when feeling unsafe.

2.Release the button when you reach safety, like your home or car, and enter your 4-digit pin.

3.Facing danger? Just release the button without entering your pin. Your local authorities will be alerted to your location and situation.

Stay equipped for any scenario:

• Prefer texting? If you can’t speak during an emergency, communicate through text.

• Can’t text or call? No problem – aid is dispatched to your precise location.

• On-the-go? We keep track of your location whether you're in a taxi, bus, or moving on foot.

• Don’t have easy access to your phone? Use the Noonlight Wear OS app for help from your wrist.

• A dedicated team of trained dispatchers is on standby 24/7 to assist you promptly.

We prioritize the satisfaction and safety of our users. Explore our reviews to see how Noonlight is aiding individuals just like you.

Note: Continuous use of GPS while running in the background may drain battery life significantly. Noonlight utilizes your GPS location only during an active alert.

So, something totally unexpected happened to me today. I tried out this app by mistake this evening and they got back to me super quick to make sure I was okay. When they didn't hear from me right away, they even contacted the police until I figured out my mix-up and managed to answer my phone with my pin. They let the police know that everything was fine, and I have to admit, it felt kind of silly on my end. But I gotta say, I was really impressed by how fast they followed up and how professionally they handled the situation. It feels good to know that if there's a real emergency, they've got my back.

It's been almost a year since the last update, and the app doesn't have the same features as the Apple version. Also, you need to restart and re-pair the app every time you reboot your phone, which could be a safety concern if you forget. Overall, it's disappointing for a service connected to an expensive item like a Taser.

I got this app to make my friend feel safer when waiting for the bus. But when I opened it, all I saw was a button. I couldn't link other apps, couldn't see my friend's profile, and couldn't even set up my own with a picture or any details besides my number and pin. The only thing I could add was some "other information" in a small text box. This definitely doesn't give me much comfort when I'm out at night.

So, here's what happened - I accidentally pressed a button and my phone fell on my bed. I got busy with other stuff. Next thing I know, I had missed 4 texts and 3 calls from someone. They got worried and even contacted the police for help. Later on, they messaged me again just to check if everything was alright. It's nice to see how quick their response was!

I feel so relieved to have this app on my phone. Once, I opened it by accident and got a text and call at just the right time! The text option is great in case I can't talk on the phone. I apologized for the mistake, and they were happy that I was safe. Their customer service is excellent. I recommend downloading it for safety.

Living with PTSD can make me feel extremely paranoid. For the past 2 years, I haven't been able to go out alone due to multiple attempts of abduction on me. Using this app gives me a sense of security. Today, I used it at Walmart and was able to move around without any issues. The peace of mind it brings is priceless, even though the app is free. However, it's important to mention that I haven't experienced a life-threatening emergency yet. So, I am unsure of how fast the app would respond in a real crisis situation.

The app hasn't been updated for more than a year. I feel let down by the Android version when comparing it to the iOS version. I might start searching for another option. It seems like they have neglected the Android version and don't pay attention to it, which is sad because I admire the company. If the Android version had the same experience and features as the iOS version, I would give it 5 stars.

So, my alarm went off by mistake on my WearOS watch and they gave me a ring to ensure I was all good. I reassured them that everything was fine and they requested my four-digit code. They were super nice and the following day, one of the co-owners sent me a text asking if everything was okay. It's comforting to know someone's looking out for me in case things go south. The folks on the line genuinely sounded concerned, which is not something you come across often. This, my friend, is what I define as exceptional customer service! 😊

Accidents can happen. I forgot my pin and they called me within a minute. This app could have been handy when my husband blocked me in with his car, but it didn't cross my mind back then. I believe that if I use it whenever I feel uneasy or unsafe, I will remember even during high-stress situations. I appreciate your quick response, even better than the police's.
