Parents can install and utilize Norton Family and Norton Parental Control on their child’s Windows PC, iOS, and Android devices, though certain features might not be accessible across all platforms. Parents can oversee and manage their children’s activities from any device through mobile apps or by signing into their account on the appropriate website.

This requires the device to have an active internet/data plan and must be powered on.

1.Parents can log into the dedicated site and select Parental Control to review their child's activities and adjust settings from any supported browser.

2.Location monitoring functionalities may not be available in all regions. Please check the relevant site for further details. The child’s device must have the service installed and turned on for it to function.

3.Video Supervision pertains specifically to YouTube.com and does not extend to videos embedded within other sites or blogs.

4.Location tracking needs to be activated before utilization.

5.The mobile application needs to be installed separately.

6.Norton Family utilizes the AccessibilityService API to gather data on website visits through browsers on your child’s device and ensures that permissions cannot be revoked without parental approval.

FAQ

Recover your Norton account

If you forgot your username or password, you can retrieve it and set a new password for your account.

If you do not have access to your old email or if you did not receive the password reset email, contact Member Services and Support for assistance.

Reset your account password

Go to the Forgot Password page.

Enter the email address that you used to make your purchase or to create your account.

Click Continue.

Norton sends you an email with reset password instructions if there is an account under that email address.

If you do not receive the password reset email within a few minutes, check your spam or junk folders. The password recovery emails from Norton have the following details:

From: no-reply@mylogin.norton.com

Subject: Reset your account password

Open the email and click the Reset Password button.

If your email account is not active, contact us at Member Services and Support.

Type in and update a new password for your account.

Password is case-sensitive and must be 8 characters or longer that should at least contain an Upper and lower case letters, one number, and one symbol.

Retrieve your username that you use to sign in

Go to the Forgot username page.

Enter the email address that you used to make your purchase or to create your account.

Click Continue.

Norton sends you an email if there is an account associated with that email address. Kindly follow the provided instructions.

Set up Two-factor authentication for your Norton account

Two-factor authentication is a security feature that adds an extra layer of security for your account. If you enable this feature, you need to enter your Norton account password and a special verification code sent to a mobile authenticator app or to your phone via text or voice.  This code is specific to your account and changes every time you sign in.

To completely set up the two-factor authentication, perform the following steps:

Step 1: Set up two-factor authentication in your Norton account

Step 2: Choose one of the available verification methods (mobile authenticator app, security key, or mobile phone number)

Step 3: Save the backup codes (10 different single-use security codes)

Step 4: Set up a backup method (in case your primary method does not work)

Optional step: Regenerate single-use backup codes

Setup two-factor authentication

Sign in to your account.

In the top-right corner of the page, hover over your profile icon and then click Account Settings.

In the Two-Factor Authentication section, click Set Up.
