About Apple home key support

We currently don’t support Apple home keys or “tap to unlock” in our products. However, we support the industry initiative Aliro, which aims to standardize “tap to unlock” across all major phone brands. Update the firmware

Up-to-date firmware not only ensures the full functionality of your Nuki products but also guarantees maximum security.

We recommend enabling automatic firmware updates.

Every day Nuki checks if a new firmware version is available for your Smart Lock, Opener or Smart Door. Nuki then installs it automatically overnight. You do not even have to be on site.

This is how you activate automatic firmware updates:

Nuki App

Tap on the Nuki device in the Nuki App. Then select "Settings" > "Features & Configuration" > "General" > "Firmware update". You can also manually search for updates and install them here. 

Nuki Web

Select your device in your Nuki Web account and activate the "Automatic Updates" feature under "Administration".

Note: You need remote access to your Nuki device to activate automatic firmware updates.

Of course, we will notify you when a new firmware version has been installed via:

- Activity log in the Nuki App or Nuki Web

- Push notification (if enabled)

You can deactivate automatic updates at any time in the same way in the Nuki App or via Nuki Web.

Forgetting security code

You have forgotten the security code for your Nuki device and no other user knows your code? You need to reset the Nuki device to factory settings.

Reset to factory settings

You can reset your Nuki device to factory settings via the Help menu in the Nuki App. Follow these steps to reset your Nuki device:

1. Open the menu at the top left (three yellow bars) in your Nuki App and select "Help".

2. At the bottom of the Help screen, you'll find the option "Reset to Factory Settings".

3. Tap on the device.

4. Follow the instructions provided by the Nuki App.

Note:

When you reset your device to factory settings, all data will be permanently deleted. Neither settings nor user information will be preserved. After the reset, you can set up your device again and set a new security code.
