Olauncher - A Unique and Amazing Smartphone

Olauncher is an app that can turn your phone into a unique and amazing smartphone.

We think that every smartphone is a special and unique device and we do not only want to make it look different but we want it to be completely different than any other smartphones in the world. This app will make that happen.

We use it as a tool to create interesting devices that will not only look awesome but also will work as unique and amazing mobile devices.

There is no other way to put it, this is the most complete and open source project we have seen so far. All the necessary files are open-source and you can find the source code in our github repository.

The whole point of this app is that it is completely free and you will not have to pay for anything, you can check out the open source source code and if you want to contribute, you can just do it by sending us a pull request and waiting a day or so for it to be reviewed and accepted.

We would love to hear your opinion and we will try to make our app better and better every day.

FEATURES YOU MIGHT LIKE:

Minimalist homescreen: A clean homescreen experience with no icons, ads, or any distractions. It helps you reduce your screen time and increase productivity.

Customizations: Resize text, rename apps, hide unused apps, show or hide the status bar, app text alignments, etc.

Gestures: Double-tap to lock screen. Swipe left or right to open apps. Swipe down for notifications.

Wallpaper: A beautiful new wallpaper, daily. No one said that a minimalist launcher has to be boring. :)

Privacy: No data collection. FOSS Android launcher. Open source under GPLv3 license.

Launcher features: Dark & light themes, dual apps support, work profile support, auto app launch.

FAQs:

1.Hidden apps - Long press anywhere on the home screen to open settings. Tap 'Olauncher' on the top to see your hidden apps.

2.Navigation gestures - Some devices do not support gestures with downloaded Android launchers. This can only be fixed by your device manufacturer via an update.

3.Wallpapers - This Android launcher provides a new wallpaper daily. You can also set any wallpaper you want from your phone settings or Gallery/Photos app.

    I've been using this launcher for nearly a year, and it's the best one I've ever tried! It's so easy to use, looks amazing, and there are no annoying ads. Since I've started using it, I've spent less time staring at my screen because of its simple and smart design. It works perfectly without any issues and is just as quick as my device's original UI. I highly recommend it!

    There's this problem I've been having since the latest update. Occasionally, a Google Play screen pops up on my phone saying "To keep using Olauncher, you gotta grab it from Google Play". So, I tap on "Get app" and it whisks me to the store. I end up on that page so I can use my phone. I can't close that screen because as soon as it's gone, bam, it pops back up again. And when my connection to the internet drops (which happens often for me), I'm greeted with a Google Play message saying "you are offline" until I switch back to my default launcher. It's made this app completely useless for me.

    I find that having widgets on my phone helps me resist the urge to click on things out of boredom. The lack of colors also makes it less tempting for me to spend time on my phone. The simple format is a constant reminder for me to use my phone less and be more present in real life. I want to have access to what I need rather than just what I want. My brain craves distractions but they make me unproductive, and too much stimulation overwhelms me, making me grumpy. I feel much calmer emotionally and mentally when I spend less time on my phone. I appreciate this free version for helping me with that.

    I have some feature ideas for you. It would be great if the list on the home screen could be more dynamic. For instance, it would be nice if an item only showed up if there was a new unread item. I primarily use the list for my inbox apps. I am increasing my rating to 5 stars. I really like the open-source model and I'm grateful that it's even simpler than Minimalist Phone. I'm surprised by how much changing my icons to a simple list of words and turning on monochrome has altered my phone habits. It helps me treat my phone in a different way.

    Sure! This launcher is super minimal and really quick. However, it doesn't have widgets. You might not notice how valuable widgets are until they're gone. I understand the idea of a minimalist launcher, but without even a hidden widget panel, your phone's functionality goes down a lot. Maybe you're fine with that, but I'm not. I prefer having the weather on my home screen instead of opening an app to check it.
