onX Hunt - Hunt & track land

I felt a bit overwhelmed by all the tools at first, but once I customized my settings, I realized I should have gotten the app sooner. The hunting spots near me were challenging to navigate due to private properties. Now, with clear access points and property lines on hand, I feel more confident about exploring these areas. I suggest this app to anyone wanting to broaden their hunting locations.

This app is fantastic when it's functioning properly. I recently went hunting for 8 days in an area with spotty cell service. Before I left, I downloaded multiple offline maps and ensured that the app and maps were up-to-date. However, while I was hunting, the app required updating a couple of times, which also affected the offline maps. This created a problem as I couldn't use the app until we traveled to an area with service and updated it. Besides this issue, I must say this is the best app you'll find!

The app used to be slow but worked fine. Lately, it's completely stopped working. Even after reinstalling, it's just a blank screen when I open it. The search feature is also broken. Support fixed my problem in about 16 hours, which was great, but the app still runs slowly. My phone isn't that old, so hopefully the developers can make the app faster.

This app is fantastic and essential. While marking a blind location on the map, I got interrupted by a review request from the app. Despite the interruption, I quickly shared my positive feedback. The accuracy of the measurement tool at the local state range impressed me as I checked my zero. The app's location accuracy is top-notch. The paid version offers plenty of cool features. Amazing job, onX!

The products are good and the technical support is excellent! They have been helping me since September 2001. Currently, I am experiencing an issue with the OnX Hunt app not rotating on my Samsung A7 tablet, but the company is investigating. The trial version works fine, so I believe they will fix this in future updates. For now, I will use the trial version or the hunt version in portrait mode. Recently, on November 16th, 2023, I contacted the company about a small problem, and as usual, they were fantastic to deal with.

This navigation app is great for finding your way in the wilderness. The only downside for me is the pop-up ads and information screens that keep appearing and blocking the map. It's really annoying, especially when I'm wearing gloves and in a hurry to check the map. If they showed up less often, I wouldn't be so bothered, but it seems like they pop up every single time. I wish they would just go away.

Absolutely loving OnX as a new hunter. It's been super valuable for me. I can scout out my hunting areas, check out the terrain with 3D imagery, and see recent photos. It really helps me plan my routes realistically. And setting waypoints for good spotting locations and campsites is so useful. My hunting buddy and I have been sharing waypoints to get ready for the season, and we're both getting the hang of using the system more effectively.

Having the same problem as other reviewers. The app doesn't accurately display the recorded trails, making them look different with straight lines instead of the actual path. You need to click on the trail constantly to see the real path, which is quite irritating! Additionally, my property's aerial image is outdated by almost 5 years, despite me building a cabin and making various changes in the past 4 years. As a result, I am considering switching to a different app that provides more up-to-date images.

I use onX all year round for different projects and especially for hunting. I've stopped using other mapping programs because onX meets all my needs, including location details, boundaries, and most importantly, preventing me from getting lost. Recently, I faced some issues after installing onX Hunt on new Android phones, but the customer service team solved them promptly. Hunting without onX is unimaginable to me now!
