Opodo - Travel deals comparison

I don't trust this app. It feels like a scam. I paid for the booking but they kept me waiting for hours without confirmation. They even charged me extra for insurance without notifying me. I decided to block my credit cards.

The app didn't work on my Android phone. I couldn't get boarding passes, enter passport info, or even use my booking number. We had to update our booking using my wife's iPhone. The chat room couldn't help, just told us to go to the airline website for check-in. So frustrating!

If there was a choice, I would give it a zero. I paid more for a ticket that allows changes. But every time I try to make a change, their system crashes. Then, when you want to talk to an agent, a bot shows up, but nothing works and you can't connect with a real person. I will never use this service again. Also, after following their team's advice, I received an error message saying, "Oops, something went wrong!"

Opodo allows you to book flights with airlines that don't usually accept bookings from third-party websites. Unfortunately, they provided incorrect information to Ryanair, causing issues with creating boarding passes. Despite a stressful situation, we managed to board the plane, but Opodo didn't really help. I won't use this app again, and you shouldn't either if you want to avoid unnecessary stress.

Basically, the company used to offer refunds and protection, but now that they're based in Spain, you won't get those benefits if something goes awry. They are fine as long as everything goes smoothly, but if an issue arises, they will try to avoid giving you a refund. I had to wait for 10 months before resorting to filing a claim through my credit card company. Their customer service is terrible, and they are no longer ATOL protected.

The travel agent was awful and the call staff were rude. We tried to change a flexible ticket but they said it wasn't their issue and we had to call the airline. We waited on hold for 4 hours, and even the chat feature was terrible. It was supposed to take 52 minutes, but ended up lasting over 3.30 hours. I suggest using a different service and paying a bit more for better service. Very disappointed with them.

The app is not user-friendly, making it hard to navigate and find information easily. It doesn't show recent bookings together with current ones, causing confusion. Even when displaying current trips, the booking reference is not visible. It's better to use a computer instead. Additionally, managing bookings on the app is quite limited as transactions require human intervention.

The app is awesome, easy to use and runs really well compared to the website. Having a Prime membership saves you a ton of money, especially if you travel frequently - I fly once a month for a round trip, and my yearly membership cost was recovered in just 2 months. But their customer support is not that great. In the "live" chat, there's only a bot responding, and if you decide to call directly, be prepared for a long wait and a 20-minute call, which can end up being quite expensive.
