The "Panasonic Image App" is a mobile application that enables users to control the shooting and playback functions of Wi-Fi-enabled digital cameras or camcorders from their smartphones. It also facilitates uploading to social networking service platforms.
This app provides several key features.
・Users can view the same visuals as displayed on their digital camera or camcorder's Live View screen through their smartphone, allowing for camera operation similar to using a wireless remote control. (*1)
・Playback of still images and videos captured by the digital camera or camcorder is possible on the smartphone. (*2) (*3) Additionally, users can transfer these files to their smartphone and upload them to social media platforms. (*3)
Additional functionalities for digital cameras
・The app supports continuous connectivity with digital cameras featuring Bluetooth capability, enabling Wi-Fi connections and remote operations solely via a smartphone. Users can also tag recorded images with location data and easily transfer images automatically. (*4)
・It is possible to set up automatic transfers of still images captured with the digital camera to the smartphone.
・Location information gathered from the smartphone can be added to images taken by the digital camera.
(*1) For models DMC-SZ8 / SZ9 / SZ10 / TZ55 / TZ56 / TZ57 / TZ58 / ZS35 / ZS45, remote video recording from a smartphone is not supported.
(*2) On devices like DMC-FT5 / GF6 / LF1 / SZ8 / SZ9 / SZ10 / TS5 / TZ37 / TZ40 / TZ41 / TZ55 / TZ56 / TZ57 / TZ58 / ZS27 / ZS30 / ZS35 / ZS45, playback of still images only is available.
(*3) This feature is not supported on HC-X1000.
(*4) Only devices that support Bluetooth 4.0 or higher (Bluetooth low energy technology) can use this function.

[Important Information]
・The Bluetooth functionality is compatible with smartphones (running Android 5.0 and above) that include Bluetooth 4.0 or higher (Bluetooth low energy technology).
・Be cautious that prolonged usage of the GPS recording feature may significantly drain the device's battery.
・To access SNS upload features or Cloud Sync services, acquiring a user ID for Panasonic’s LUMIX CLUB is necessary (at no cost).
・For details regarding app usage or compatible models, refer to the designated support page.
・Please note that direct communication is not possible even through the “Email Developer” option.
・The image transfer function to AV devices is no longer available (starting from Version 1.10.7).
・The ability to delete images is also removed (beginning with Version 1.10.15).
・The "Home Monitor" function has been discontinued (from Version 1.10.19 onward).
・The "Baby Monitor" functionality is no longer in service (from Version 1.10.19 forward).
Q & A (Frequently Asked Questions)
Wi-Fi
Q. After updating the Image App, I can no longer connect to Wi-Fi.
A. Depending on the device you are using, if mobile communication is turned on, mobile communication may take priority and you may not be able to connect to Wi-Fi.
Please try the following solutions.
Turn on "Airplane mode" or turn off "Mobile data" in your smartphone settings
Connecting to the camera via Wi-Fi
*If you change the above settings, you will not be able to communicate over the Internet, so be sure to change the settings back when you are not using the Image App.
Q. When connecting to Wi-Fi via a wireless access point, one of the following messages (1), (2), or (3) may frequently appear.
(1) "Shooting failed. Please check the camera body or memory card."
(2) "An error occurred while copying images. An error occurred while communicating with the camera. Please check if there are any problems with the communication environment."
(3) "There is no response from the camera. Please reset the camera's Wi-Fi or tap the "OK" button in a place with good reception."
A. Try connecting the smartphone and digital camera directly, or move to a different location, or try again later.
Q. When connecting a smartphone and digital camera via Wi-Fi using "Connect from history" in the Wi-Fi settings menu of the digital camera itself, and then launching the Image App, the following message is displayed and the Wi-Fi connection is not completed.
A. Try connecting to Wi-Fi via "New Connection" in the Wi-Fi settings menu on your digital camera, and then launching the Image App.
Q. Wi-Fi connection drops immediately.
A. In the [Advanced Settings] section of the Wi-Fi settings menu, if there is a setting for [Disable when connection is poor] or [Wi-Fi Stable Control Function], try turning them off.
Q. Cannot connect using NFC touch.
A. If the [Wi-Fi Password] setting in the camera's [Wi-Fi Settings] menu is OFF, try turning it ON.
Q. The Wi-Fi connection between Image App and the camera cannot be completed.
A. An app installed on your smartphone may block the Wi-Fi connection between Image App and the camera.
If you are using software that monitors Wi-Fi access (especially antivirus security software), please allow access to the camera.

Automatic Cloud Backup
Q. The backup does not start.
A. In the [Advanced Settings] section of the Wi-Fi settings menu, try changing the [Keep Wi-Fi connected during sleep] setting to "Always connected."

Q. The live view image of the digital camera displayed in the Image App may be choppy.
A. Please update the smartphone software on which the Image App is installed to the latest version and try again.
