Introducing Paper.io, the latest creation from Voodoo that will captivate you!
Your objective is rather straightforward: aim to conquer the largest territory.
Initially, it appears simple as the game is quite user-friendly. However, be warned, mastering it might prove to be a challenge.
Whether you prefer to take risks or be cautious, outsmart your adversaries by devising the most effective strategy to expand your area. And remember to stay vigilant because you possess a vulnerability: your tail. If it is touched by an opponent, it's game over for you.
Ensure to defend your territory as in Paper.io, anything is possible until you have complete possession. Remember, stealing is permissible, and your rivals won’t hesitate to engage in this tactic.
HOW TO PLAY PAPER.IO
For those accustomed to the mobile gaming space, the gameplay basics of Paper.io are essentially the exact same as Splix.io, which came to mobile devices in September. Laying down paper, it’s your job to cover as much of the board as possible with your color before dying. The highest score you can get is 100 percent completion. It’s rare, but possible.
To expand turf in 'Paper.io,' you must wrap your trail around the bold starting point.Voodoo/YouTube
At the start of each match, you spawn from a bolded square of your color. Using touch controls, you navigate your avatar to grab sections of turf that must always connect to that initial piece. It’s a bit hard to explain in text but simple to see in action. The more turf you turn to your color, the higher your score will be.
What makes Paper.io significantly more complex, however, are the AI opponents of different colors trying to cover the same board. As you connect new lines to expand your base, they can break up those lines to instantly kill you. You can also cut off the lines of opponents to kill them and take over their space.
HOW TO DIE IN PAPER.IO
When you’re just getting started, it may seem like you’re dying out of nowhere. Here’s a list of ways that will instantly make you lose.
To kill an opponent in 'Paper.io' you must disrupt their color trail with yours. Always watch for others trying to take you down.Voodoo/Google Play

WHAT ARE COINS AND HOW DO I GET THEM?
Coins are awarded based on your performance in Paper.io. The number of coins you get at the end of each round is calculated by multiplying your percentage score by eight, as well as multiplying opponent kills by 30. The rounded total of those two calculations is your coin yield. If you see a score milestone message while playing, that total may be multiplied by two or three times as well.
To get coins, you must cover a large area and take out opponents.
WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF COINS?
If you get enough coins in Paper.io, you’ll be able to purchase avatars that lay down more exciting paper patterns as you play. The store is accessed by tapping the ? block on the title screen.
'Paper.io' has a store with tons of avatars. They cost a lot of coins, but they're purely cosmetic.Voodoo
The advantage is purely cosmetic, and costs range from about 5,000 to 25,000 coins each. There are also avatars themed around holidays and ones tied to major score achievements.
CHEATS, TIPS AND STRATEGIES FOR SUCCESS
Existing players were likely lured here by the promise of strategies, and hopefully we don’t disappoint. Here’s our best methods to hitting 100.
Starting your trail in the corner is the best way to scoop up huge chunks of turf in 'Paper.io.'Voodoo/YouTube
With regard to cheats, it’s possible to disable ads by turning off your Wifi and data connection. If you’re hardcore practicing, shutting those off may keep you focused.
You’ll occasionally be offered extra lives if you watch a timed ad on the title screen. Lives are essentially a continue, and that benefit may be worth it. You won’t get that option without data.
In terms of gobbling up space, it’s always a gamble to leave a large trail. Instead of dying, just make smaller squares more frequently to keep opponents away.
The only time to take large chunks is in corners where you can be sure no opponents will cut you off. If you can squeeze near a border, do it.
Killing other players is a huge bonus, but you should only do it if you see an obvious opportunity while getting your own space. If there’s a massive trail with nobody around, might as well sneak in.
Don’t get caught score watching. If you’re in the lead you’ll have a crown over your avatar.
The top left of the match screen shows your best score, current percentage and kill count if you must know it.
Because the spawns are totally random, sometimes it’s just luck of the draw. If you keep failing, each match is more or less a clean slate to try again.
How to play 100%
To get 100% on paper.io, you must do the following but you also have to keep in mind that you must have good tactics when playing the game.
1 Cover all corners one by one. Fill the boundaries.
2 Always start in the corners and spread to the sides.
3 Take a good guard of your tail and close your loop. You may also join up your end and start tail. You will capture everyone that it’s in the middle. This will eat up the enemies in your square.
4 Play in your defense. Watch out for other colors. Be patient and don’t go forward unless you have covered the boundaries completely. It is easier to kill others when they are in your land.
You must take note that you have to be patient in this game, like really patient. Going out of your way and being greedy to kill the enemies will not pay off at all.
