User Guide

Creating an Account

Account Sign Up

To get started on Parler, users will be prompted to set up an account using a phone number or email address. An account creates a profile that users can use to create content and interact with others on the mobile / web app.

Sign Up by Email

   1. After entering your email address, you will be sent an email containing a Magic Link and 6-digit verification code. 

   2. Click on the one-time link in the email within 15 minutes of requesting it to continue account setup. Users may also click the URL at the bottom of the email if you have trouble with the button.

   3. Users can copy the 6-digit code from the top of the email and paste it into the mobile or web application.

Sign Up by Phone Number

   1. After entering their cell phone number and checking the box to consent to text messages, users will be texted a 6-digit verification code. 

   2. Copy the 6-digit code from the text message and paste it into the Parler mobile or web application.

Sign Up by Google Authorization

   1. Users who access Parler through the desktop version at app.parler.com can create an account using their Google login details. Click the G icon beside the Send Verification Code bar.

   2. Follow the Google prompts to log in. 

Navigating the App

Parler 3.0 has a fresh look and feel along with many new features and functionalities. The following descriptions are designed to help users make the most of their experience by navigating the new platform seamlessly. 

Bottom Navigation Bar

Home: View and engage with posts from other users on the Following, Friends, or Discover Feeds.

Search: Explore new content by searching hashtags or posts, or find a friend by searching users.

Parler Icon: Create content by choosing from an array of upload options including photos, videos, GIFs, and text posts.

Trending: Check out the current trends and discussions in a curated experience that showcases the app's most popular users, topics, and posts.

Profile: Open the Side Navigation to visit your user profile, manage settings, review connections, or submit feedback all from one convenient location.

Side Navigation: 

Access additional features and settings with a simple click of the Profile button. 

Home: View and engage with posts from other users on the Following, Friends, or Discover Feeds.

Settings: Customize app experience, adjust account settings, and manage data security according to preferences and needs.

Invite: Invite friends and family to join the community by email or phone number.

Connections: Review all friends, followers, and following to build and curate your community.

Feedback: Report a bug, offer suggestions for app improvements, or reach Parler Support by providing feedback directly in the app.

My Violations: Review content that has been flagged for violation of Community Guidelines and appeal moderation decisions in one convenient location. This tab will not appear for a user unless they have received a violation. 

Dark/Light Mode: Toggle between light and dark modes for an optimal user experience no matter the environment. 

Logout: Log out between sessions to secure an account or log into another one. 

Refresh/Version Number: We are constantly releasing new bug patches and feature upgrades, so be sure to hit the refresh button and ensure you're on the latest build. 

Logging Out

To minimize the number of times a user has to log in, your account will remain logged in for several sessions. If you are using a shared device or just want to secure your account between sessions, use one of the following options to log out of your account. 

If you have a valid account with no restrictions or bans, you will be able to log in again at any time. 

Logging Out from Side Navigation 

   1. Click the Profile button to open the side navigation.

   2. Select the Log Out button at the bottom of the panel. 

Logging Out from Settings

   1.  Click the Profile button to open the side navigation and select the Settings Tab.

   2. Scroll to the bottom of screen and click the Log Out button.
