[What is PASS?]

*Sign-up and use are only possible on phones registered under the user's name.

*Can also be used on corporate-owned phones by LG Uplus and MVNOs (budget phones), except corporate-owned budget phones.

*Service available for users under 14 with parental consent; some services may be restricted.

- Personal Identification: Easily verify yourself and check authentication history through the PASS app using passwords and biometrics.

- Mobile ID: Register your driver's license and resident registration card on PASS for convenient, legally equivalent use as physical IDs.

- ID Verification: Validate authenticity of others' mobile IDs.

- Smart Ticket: Scan one QR code to verify identity and flight ticket information for domestic flights.

- PASS Certificate: Provide various financial, public service certifications, logins, and electronic signatures.

- Electronic Documents: Issue, view, and submit public agency certificates.

- PASS Money: Withdraw money earned in PASS just like cash to your account.

- Rising Trend: Provide rankings and related information on sites most authenticated by customers.

- Asset Inquiry & Recommendations: Check scattered assets and receive recommendations on financial products suited to you.

- Mobile Payment: View and change mobile payment usage and limits.

- Phone Safety Service's Text Detection feature detects harmful URLs in SMS received after login, informing users accordingly.

Usage Guidelines

- PASS service is provided free of charge by LG Uplus.

- Membership Registration: After installing the app, complete the identification process by registering a password or biometric information on the PASS app.

- Easy Personal Verification: Complete easy personal verification by completing authentication via the PASS app. For faster access, set app notifications to ON. (Notifications may not work after deleting the app)

- Mobile Driver's License Verification: Register your driver's license on the PASS app for safe offline/online use. Verification is completed by reading the mobile driver's license display's QR code/barcode requested by the validating party offline.

- Resident Registration Card Mobile Verification: Without the physical card, register resident registration card information on the PASS app for age verification and identity confirmation. Offline, verification is completed by scanning the QR code by the validating party.

- PASS Certificate: After user verification and account authentication, issue and utilize an authentication certificate. The issued certificate is valid for three years.

- Real-Time Financial Fraud Caution Notification: Set up spam/fraud alert notification to receive popup alerts for suspicious spam, scam, and phishing calls/messages.

[Notes]:

- Available on Android OS 6 and above; fingerprint authentication may vary by phone model.

- Usage restriction may apply for devices from other carriers.

- Changing the phone environment arbitrarily (rooting, hacking, etc.) may cause PASS service to malfunction.

- Please note that app passwords are not stored separately for personal data protection, so remember not to forget them!

[PASS Access Permissions]:

1.Mandatory Access Permissions

- Calls: Required for managing phone status to connect or make calls to the customer center.

2.Optional Access Permissions

- Notifications: Used for receiving alerts during service use.

- Photos and Videos (Storage): Used for saving certificates and attaching images/photos for additional services.

- Camera: Used for QR code authentication, capturing driver's license photos, verifying IDs, and checking the risk of web URL links via QR code.

- Biometric Info: Used for fingerprint authentication for personal identification.

- Location: Used to confirm device location when submitting mobile driver's license to financial institutions, public agencies, checking detailed info of connected Wi-Fi, and confirming available Wi-Fi networks.

- SMS: Necessary for using the spam/fraud detection feature for received SMS.

- Calls: Needed for detecting spam/scam/phishing/smishing with received calls.

- Call History: Required for detecting spam/scam/phishing/smishing with received calls.

- Contacts: Needed for caution information alerts for numbers not in contacts.

- Accessibility: Used to verify risks of links visited on Samsung Internet, Chrome.

- Display Over Other Apps: Used to display the risk results of links visited on Samsung Internet, Chrome.

- Battery Usage Optimization: Used to monitor device functions and apps in real-time to identify threats.
