How it works
Using our app
1. Download the app
Download the app from the Google Play or App Store.
2. Enter location number
In the app, enter the location number of where you have parked, which you can find on parking signage.
3. Enter parking duration
Next, add how long you wish to park for. Check the details, then confirm your selection.
4. Extend your parking session anytime
Add more time to your parking session in-app from wherever you are without having to rush back to your car.
Common Reasons for Payment Refusal
Payment errors and issues associated with card verification can occur due to the following most common reasons :
Insufficient funds: you have insufficient funds in your bank balance or your card limit has been exceeded.
Authorisation refused: the authorization request has passed through the banking system and has been declined. This may be because your financial institution has determined your card or specific transaction is suspicious. These fraud prevention rules are set by your bank, but they sometimes block legitimate transactions.
Transaction type non-unauthorized on the card: this means that your bank does not authorize this type of transaction.
Incorrect payment information: your payment card was added with incorrect information (For example, you may have changed your phone number and couldn't receive the one-time password from your bank).
Payment Gateway issues: there are technical issues with our payment gateway.
Network connection issues: there is a problem with the network connection (e.g. bad/no connection to the mobile network). Please try reconnecting to a different network.
Country not supported: Payments from certain countries cannot access our network. Please try a different platform such as mobile web, or interactive voice recognition by dialling the phone number listed on the meter/sign. See: How do I purchase parking with PayByPhone? (All platforms)
Failed authentication (UK): this means that the strong authentication (via SMS or from your banking application) was not completed correctly.

In order to use PayByPhone in the best conditions, don't forget to check if your device version is compatible with our application:

Troubleshooting steps:
👉 Exit & Restart the App.
👉 Log out of your account and log back in.
👉 Re-install the App.
Ensure that you are using the most up-to-date version of the application. We release optional and forced updates with bug fixes periodically.
👉 Ensure that your OS is compatible.
There is a minimum level of OS needed to support our apps.

Please ensure that your parking has been validated to avoid a citation.
Trouble Shooting Registration and Login Issues
Registration Issues:
👉 Account already exists:
It's possible that the phone number that you are using already had an account associated with it. This can be a result of a recycled phone number by another user, or an account that you had previously set up! This can occur upon registration, or if you try to convert a guest account into a registered user.
Should this occur, please reach out to our support team through our Virtual Assistant
Login Tips:
👉 Be mindful of any capital letters, spaces, and special characters in the password field.
👉 Confirm you have the correct international prefix included for your phone number.
👉 Try typing in your account credentials as third-party account password managers such as Last Pass will not work with the iOS and Android Apps.
👉Recall how you previously logged in, as you may have previously transacted using an account that was based on your social or apple ID login and not your phone number.
👉Were you sharing an account with a friend or family member? You may have been previously logged in with using someone else's account.
If your username/password are correct but you still cannot log in:
Reset your password which includes an account verification code sent either via SMS and/or email depending on your region. There is a 30-minute reply time from when the verification code is sent, so please allow enough time.
Check your Internet connection to verify internet access.
Ensure that you are using the latest app version: Apple App Store and Google Play store.
Power down your phone and then relaunch the platform.
Please note: Verification codes are only sent to registered account holders. If you do not receive a password reset link, it is possible you are transacting in guest mode, using a social login, or trying to reset using an old phone number. Please try creating/registering for a new account as we cannot verify if an account already exists for security reasons.
