So I updated the app, right? Then the next day, my light didn't want to connect. So, I decided to wipe it completely and start from scratch, but nope, still won't connect no matter how much I wait for that loading screen. It's just frustrating. This light used to be so helpful in getting me up in the mornings. Now, my whole routine is messed up. Thanks a lot.

So, here's the deal. A while back, this app was totally fine, doing its thing smoothly. But then, they decided to spruce things up with a fresh design. However, in the process, they somehow managed to mess up its functionality big time. The main issue in this latest update is that it doesn't recognize my hue bridge anymore. That basically renders the app useless. I even attempted to connect directly using the IP address, but no luck there either. Thankfully, I can still boss around my lights using Google, but man, I really miss using the app. Oh well, at least things are still under control!

Ok, so it sounds like the lights are working well, but the app is not great. Even after updating, the app is still bad. The widgets are also not good. The person responsible for the updates should be fired because they actually made things worse. Before, you could control two lights with one button, but now you need a separate button for each light and function. So, instead of making the app simpler, they are actually making it more complicated.

Even though the app can do a lot, I feel like it could be more user-friendly. I often have to come up with solutions for things that should be simpler. For instance, setting up a light to turn on at sunset and then off at 10:30 needs two different routines. Also, there are missing options like how you want a device to behave when you turn it on. It's not very clear how to control two bridges from one account if they're in different locations. I end up spending a lot of time on the user forum trying to figure out these kinds of details.

Oh man, have you seen the new app design? It's driving me crazy! All I wanted was a simple light switch, not an overwhelming sensory experience every time I turn off the kitchen lights. I just want to open the app and control a lamp with ease. But now, it's got all these annoying loading animations and pop-up screens that I don't need. Do you know if they're planning to add a setting to let us disable all this extra stuff and go back to the old design?

So, basically, this app is driving me crazy! I thought I had all the permissions sorted out, but it just can't seem to locate my Bluetooth Philips Hue bulbs. I've tried everything - turning them off and on, even unscrewing and screwing them back in (as suggested by the app or any other place I looked), but no luck. It's such a pain because I can't even get through setting up the app without having at least one device connected. And forget about adding bulbs manually using serial numbers; that's not even an option for me right now. It's like hitting a brick wall every time I try to make this thing work!

I've been using the new update for about a month, and I'm really not enjoying it. It requires too much clicking to find what I need, and the icons are not in convenient or intuitive places. Often when I try to turn a light on or off, I end up navigating to the next set of icons by accident. It feels like I have to be very precise with my taps, almost needing to use a pen to avoid tapping multiple times. Additionally, when I open the app, the icons for lights that are already on have an unpleasant light brown color, which reminds me of baby poop. Every time I open the app, I can't help but cringe.

Someone tried to access all the data on my phone, like my contacts, just to use a Bluetooth app I wanted to use in my own home. They even pressured me to give them my email address. And now, I can't even create a widget without needing extra hardware. Honestly, whoever is responsible for this app needs to chill out. Update: Now the app won't even connect to the light. Maybe if they focused more on making it functional instead of trying to collect social media data, it would actually do its job properly.
