The layout is simple and has good features. But, I would give it a lower rating because the latest update uses a lot of background data compared to previous versions. Even with "background data" turned off and "download only on WiFi" activated, it still consumes around 150MB per month (roughly 2MB per hour when not connected to WiFi), which is much higher than the previous usage of about 50MB. I am not sure if it's due to ad servers or system pings, but this is problematic for me as I have a pay-per-use data plan and this increased usage is costing me more money.

It seems like I wrote a great review for this app a while back, but I feel differently now. The app has become really pushy in asking me to switch to the $20 premium version each year. It's also bombarding me with sponsored recommendations. Even though I set it to only use Wi-Fi, if I don't allow it to access cellular data, it stops playing podcasts that I've already downloaded. And when I do let it use my cellular data, it eats up my data plan quickly.

What a great app you have been using for years! There is just one little thing bothering you lately though. It seems that you are unable to rearrange your downloaded podcasts and are forced to listen to them in the order they were downloaded. You used to be able to simply tap and hold to move them around. Are you wondering if something has changed or perhaps you're just not figuring it out properly? Cheers to you, and just to clarify, you are using the free version of the app.

Initially used smoothly but now flooded with unsolicited content. Leaving it idle triggers sudden redirects to app store pages, raising suspicions. Recently, disturbingly, random video ad audio plays over podcast when phone is locked, forcing a search for an alternate podcast app due to excessive disruptions.

I've been using Podkicker for nearly 7 years. I got it when it was new and I've stuck with it ever since. It's the best podcast player I've ever used. It's so easy to use and has been super reliable. The interface is simple and hasn't changed much, which is great. The search function for podcasts works really well, and I love that I can back up all my subscriptions. I've switched phones 4 times now, but my podcast list always follows me. Thanks for all your hard work in updating and improving this app! Cheers!

Oh, I see. The solution the developer provided actually worked. I changed my rating to reflect that. However, their new approach of making the app pay-to-play caused issues. After the update with paid features, I can't manually sort my playlist anymore. It's really annoying. Looks like they want me to pay for that feature, but I probably won't.

I have been using this app for a long time, just like many others. It used to be simple to use and easy to understand. Its main function was playing podcasts and it did that well. But now, things have changed. It keeps crashing every couple of minutes, which is really annoying. I usually listen to podcasts to fall asleep, so the constant crashing is not helping at all. Additionally, I don't like how they constantly push me to upgrade to a premium version. It's too pushy. The app has become too glitchy with all these issues. I hope they can fix these bugs soon.

I tested 6 podcast players, and this one stands out for its simple interface and helpful features, such as the auto-delete function.
