How Does Prex Work?

To get started, open your 100% free account by completing a simple form with your personal information. This process is quick and straightforward, allowing you to set up your account in just a few minutes.

2. Pick Up Your Prex Card

After your account is created, you can choose to pick up your Prex card at a location of your preference or have it delivered directly to your home. This flexibility ensures that you can receive your card in a way that suits you best.

3. Load Balance and Start Using It!

Once you have your card, load it with pesos or dollars from any participating bank or Abitab. After funding your account, you can start using your Prex card for purchases both online and in physical stores, making transactions convenient and efficient.

1. What are the requirements to access a Prex account?

The only requirements are:

    - Have a valid Uruguayan or Brazilian ID card, Argentine ID card or passport.

    - Have residency in Uruguay.

2. How to open a Prex account?

Download our App for Android, iOS or Huawei and complete the application. When your Prex account is approved, we will notify you from the App and by email.

3. How long can it take for my account to be approved?

The account can take up to 24 business hours to be approved because we must validate your registration data.

In case that time has passed and you still do not have access to your account, check that you have not received an email or message since we will contact you in case there is missing data to complete your application. If you did not receive a communication from us, you can contact us by sending a message to the App's help chat.

4. Does it have a fixed cost?

No, it is FREE. It does not have monthly maintenance costs. You can renew or cancel it at no cost. There are also no commissions for purchases in Uruguay, nor do you have to maintain a monthly average of charges or expenses.

5. Can I open more than one account in my name?

No, you can only have one Prex account associated with your ID number, cell phone number and email.

6. Why is my Prex account not approved?

We cannot approve accounts when the data sent is invalid. For more information, contact the App's help chat or email info@prexcard.com.
