Price

Pulse is completely free to use on your phone - with no ads - and always will be! To text from other devices, you can choose between a small subscription fee (with a seven day free trial) or a one-time payment:

$0.99 / month

$5.99 / year

or $10.99 for a one-time purchase

This small payment helps me keep the lights on and develop new features, while not having to resort to ads or any type of data collection Don't want to pay? No problem, you can use the app on your phone, completely free.

You can also upgrade your subscription at any time, of course.

Encryption

If you are using the online service, I do have to store your messages in the cloud, to make them available to your other devices. All of your conversations are stored end-to-end encryption. You never have to worry about your data leaking out and no one can see your messages except for you. With Pulse, you get privacy and peace of mind, right out of the box: messenger.klinkerapps.com/encryption.html

Open Source

Are you a developer? Pulse is fully open source! Check it out: github.com/klinker-apps/pulse-sms-android

In terms of security, Pulse SMS uses end-to-end encryption protocol ensuring your data remains private and inaccessible to anyone else, not even the Pulse SMS Team. The team openly shares its encryption process to ensure transparency and build user trust.

Pulse SMS is the top choice for a web, computer, and private texting application on Android with instant messaging, easy setup, and a unique design unlike any other app in the market.

Thank you for your feedback! We're thrilled that you are enjoying the app. Your suggestions are duly noted. We can definitely consider making custom folders more accessible by placing them on the main screen. Additionally, we will explore enhancing the copy text functionality to allow for easier copying directly from messages without the need for multiple steps. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us, we appreciate your input!

Hey, my S7 phone recently updated to Oreo 8.0 and they took away the option to set custom notification sounds for text messages from specific friends. This was a feature I heavily relied on because I enjoy knowing who's texting me just by the sound. So until they roll out the 8.0.1 update that brings back this function, I needed an app that lets me assign unique text message sounds for different friends. This one works perfectly for that purpose, and I also appreciate how it plays the notification sound even if you have the message open. The only thing I wish it could do is retain the personalized sound I've set for someone's texts even after deleting the conversation thread.

This app has a great history, but lately, things haven't been going well. Messages are not syncing properly between devices, and there are issues with sending pictures, getting failed notifications. It used to happen when I sent from other devices, but now even the main smartphone install is having problems. I really hope they can fix it soon, or I might have to find another app to use.

I just have to talk about this amazing app that has completely changed the way I communicate. It was a bit pricey, but let me tell you, it's definitely worth every cent. Being able to send messages without even touching my phone is just incredible! I can now use any device seamlessly. I've got Pulse up and running on my phone, tablet, Windows PC, and Mac, and let me tell you, it works like a charm on all of them. There was just one time when things got a bit out of sync, but all it took was a quick tap on the refresh button in the app and everything was back to normal in a snap. My only worry is that this seems to be a one-person operation, right? What would happen to the app if something were to happen to Luke? Especially when it comes to the servers and keeping everything running smoothly?

This app is amazing! I use it on my phone, tablet, and Windows 10 laptop. Being able to send and receive texts on any device I'm using is so convenient. There are many customization options and extra conveniences, like a Quick Share feature for sharing content in Android without opening the Pulse app. But the main reason I switched to Pulse is that I can quickly see when I get a group text, so I won't accidentally reply to everyone. It's an excellent app.

I really like how I can assign different notification sounds to each contact. Also, it's great that the keyboard doesn't pop up when I scroll down - a feature that annoys me in other SMS apps. The night theme and various color options are nice touches. The app looks very sleek and professional. However, there is one major downside I noticed - it adds timestamps to messages sent from other devices even if they don't actually go through, which can be quite misleading.
