Punch Kick Duck Gameplay Tips
At the beginning of the Punch Kick Duck, you will be shown a short tutorial. If you did not pay attention to it, here are the basic controls: the movement of the game is automated, so you do not have to actively press any button to move your character through the stage.
However, if you want to run, you either have to press and hold down the edge of the screen or drag your fingers from the middle to the side you want to move. This will lock the running option until you attack again. And touching the upper half of the screen will punch the enemies, touching the middle will kick the enemies, and touching the lower half of the screen will duck or do a sweep attack.
Change the Settings
As we said earlier, you don't have to actively control the movement of the Duck, but you only have limited time to finish one stage. In order to save time, if you are not fighting, you have to be always running. But the problem is, this adds an additional thing to worry about. In order to fix this issue, first go to the settings and find the "auto-run" option at the bottom of the window, and put a tick mark on the checkbox. The running portion of the game will be taken care of once you've done that.
But you have to change how you play the game because the enemies will come to you faster, and you have to fight a lot of enemies at once. To fix this problem, you have to always give priority to enemies that come from behind, and you should only move forward when you beat all the enemies that come behind you.
When you repeatedly tap the same attack, the character will stop moving. You can use this to be stationary until one enemy comes to you. Running saves not only time but also increases your final score multiplier. So, if you want to climb the leaderboard, you have to train how to play while running.
What You Should Do with the Bottles
In Punch Kick Duck, one of the things that can unexpectedly end a stage is getting hit by a bottle. They have a very long range, and you can't actually predict when the enemy will use that against you. Each enemy type has a bottle-throwing variant, and they throw them according to their height. But the same as attacking enemies, you can hit the bottles to redirect them back to the enemies.
If a bunny throws a bottle, it comes at the height of a punch attack. If you want to redirect it, you have to punch the bottle. Same as the bunnies, piggies throw bottles at their own height, so that means you have to use the kick attack to redirect them. But the weasel throws their bottle aiming at your head, and you can't redirect them. Instead, you have to use the sweep attack when they throw it and avoid getting hit by them.
If you time it correctly, you can use them to take out enemies that are coming from the opposite direction. So, if you see the opportunity, you should not miss it. Since every time you get closer to the enemy, there is a chase; you would get hit by them. So, if you can get rid of them without risk, you should take the chance.
Prioritize the Threats
The easiest way to beat Punch Kick Duck is to break its obstacles into groups and prioritize them according to their threat level. In this game, you have a few obstacles. Let's take them individually and see how to deal with them.
Basic Attackers
These types of enemies are the lowest threat in the Punch Kick Duck. Unless you get surrounded by them, you could easily get rid of them. All you have to do is use the attack they are weak against to take them down. For piggies, you have to use the middle kick. For bunnies, you have to punch them in the face. For weasels, you have to sweep their legs. These types of enemies can be ignored until you get rid of higher threats.
Trolleys
You will meet these when you reach level 2. You can use any attack to get rid of them, but do not ignore them because their animation does not stop even when you are attacking something else.
The Bottle Throwers
When you progress to the third stage, you will meet these types of enemies. They throw a bottle from far away. If you want to complete the stage, you have to deal with them first. Using the same attack that you used to block their attack, you can deflect them back.
You can easily choose the attack to deflect the bottle without even looking at who throws it by their color. If it is green, you should duck. If it is yellow, you should punch it. And if it is pink, you should kick. They take the highest priority because if a few of them come to the screen, it will be hard to deal with all the bottles they throw.
Foxes
These are an evolved version of the Basic Attackers. They do not have a favorite attack. They will use Punch and kick attacks one after the other. If you want to attack them, you have to use the counter-attack of the basic enemies. For example, if they are using kicks, you should use the Punch. And if they are using the Punch, use the sweep.
You can identify what attack they will use by observing their posture. If they are coming towards you with one foot in front of the other, they are likely going to kick, and if they are keeping both hands in front of them, they are planning to punch. This unpredictability puts them at the top of the list of potential dangers. They need to be prioritized once the bottle-throwers are taken care of.
How to Spend Your Coins
Coins are the only currency you will see in Punch Kick Duck. You can earn them by beating enemies while you play. There are two things you can spend them on. One is to get another fighting chance if you die during completing a stage. The next place you can spend them is the character shop. These characters do not provide any advantage to beat the game.
If you're running low on coins, rather than spending them in the character shop, you might want to think about putting that money toward getting a second chance. Even when you are spending them to buy chances, you should not do that as you like. The coins should get a second chance only if you have reached four-thirds of the stage.
If you want to really improve your game, you should play Punch Kick Duck with the best Android emulator: LDPlayer. Not only does it allow you to play the game with higher graphics settings, but with the Keyboard Mapping feature, you can set your favorite keyboard keys that you always use to play Punch Kick Duck. And playing with a keyboard has a lot of benefits, like not mixing the left and right attack and blocking your view with your fingers.
