Make sure to explore every nook and cranny, as essential items or clues may be hidden. You’ll collect various items throughout the game, which are stored in your inventory. 

These items can be used to solve puzzles or unlock new areas. Pay attention to the descriptions and uses of items, as they often provide hints on how they should be used. Puzzle Adventure: Mystery Tale features a rich narrative, often revealed through dialogues with characters or notes found in the game world. Listen carefully and read everything, as story elements often contain crucial hints for puzzle-solving.

Investigation Basics 

Investigations are the meat of the game, and while they are quite intuitive, here’s what you can expect from them.  The primary aim of each stage is usually communicated to you through dialogue or exposition. While that is the only aim you must achieve to complete a level, you will need to solve numerous puzzles – some simple, others diabolical – to reach your objectives and acquire rewards.

The bottom of your screen displays your current stage objectives. Technically, you merely need to complete the objectives to finish a level. The game may offer different difficulty levels, which can affect the complexity of puzzles and the availability of hints. As a beginner, consider starting on an easier difficulty to get accustomed to the game’s mechanics and gradually work your way up.

Energy and Economy Management

In Puzzle Adventure: Mystery Tale, every action consumes energy, so it’s better to keep your movements to a minimum. It takes stamina to do more than just smash blocks and chop grass. Even flicking valves, hitting buttons, and flicking switches drains your energy, so carefully analysing a room’s challenges before devoting energy to it is a sensible strategy. This also acts as a visual cue for what to do next; for example, water valves with water running through them will have an energy icon above them to signify energy usage – implying that something has changed.
