What does a good paper receipt look like?

A “good” paper receipt is one that is readable, as flat as possible, and contains the following information in clear & unaltered form:

1. Store name

2. List of Items Purchased with Prices

3. Transaction Total

4. Date of Transaction

It’s good practice to take a receipt as soon as you get it to make sure that it doesn’t become too wrinkled, smudged, or even lost! To make sure that your receipt is legible and will be processed as quickly as possible, follow these tips when submitting your paper receipts:

- Lay the receipt down flat with as few wrinkles as possible in a well-lit area, and try using only neutral backgrounds to lay your receipt on.

- Line up the edges of the receipt with the lines shown on the screen.

- Let the camera focus correctly before taking a picture or tap the screen to focus the picture manually. If you tap the screen to focus, only tap over text on the receipt to make sure your camera focuses on that text.

    I think this app is really awesome. The surveys are short and related to what you buy, plus the rewards are good too. Personally, I've never had any problems with the app crashing – it seems like that might be due to the device itself. The points accumulate well, and I've earned nearly $200 in the last year. Cash out may take a little while, but it's simple, and I've had no issues redeeming gift cards with retailers. Good job, keep it up!

    It's good, but there's one issue - I can only use one email for online receipts and forwarding them doesn't work. So, I have to remember to ask for paper receipts or try to change my email on those apps to submit the receipts.

    You receive rewards for taking pictures of your receipts, either through Paypal or Visa. The process of collecting enough coins for a redemption is quite slow, but every bit helps. Lately, many of my expensive receipts have been marked as duplicates, even though I know they are not. When I try to fix the mistake, they still end up being classified as duplicates after several days of processing. It seems like they are only giving 5 coins per receipt, which is becoming almost pointless.

    You found a great app for scanning receipts. However, there's a problem with uploading electronic receipts recently. Whenever you try to submit them, an error message pops up. The support team mentioned that they're aware of the issue and are working on resolving it. Hopefully, they will fix the problem soon so you can give the app a higher rating.

    The site conveniently stores receipts for you, but even if you think you'll get credit, sometimes the processing doesn't show up. You might submit a receipt from February 23rd, but then it's considered unreadable or not genuine, even if you resend it. By the time you resubmit it, it's too old to qualify for credit. There's one that says it's too old after 14 days, which is their deadline, so once again, no credit. Another receipt was deemed too blurry, even though a human could read it. Because of these issues, I have decided to change my rating of the site.

    It might be slow, but it's worth it. Treat it like a hobby, not a get-rich-quick scheme. I've improved my rating by using the app. It's faster now and after a year, your rewards grow as you level up. Staying committed for five years is satisfying and doesn't require much time. You can also store all your receipts on the app. It has helped me with warranties and returns for items I no longer had physical receipts for.

    Recently got a new app. Easy to link with Walmart and Gmail, but connecting to Amazon is a struggle. It takes forever to load, saying 'hang tight,' but never goes through. I need to restart the app to proceed. Annoying! Overall, it's a decent app. No deadline for uploading old receipts.
