How do I report a suspected fraudulent transfer?
Secure your account
If you suspect you've made a transfer to a fraudster, here's what you can do:
Block the merchant or recipient you suspect is fraudulent — ceasing communication is essential
Contact the financial institution where your account is held. If it's Revolut, reach out to Revolut Support via the in-app chat or email for assistance
Notify the police
Cancel or report the transfer
Select the transfer in question from your transactions list
For transfers to a non-Revolut account, check the transfers tracker after selecting the transfer in question, to see if it can be cancelled
Otherwise tap 'Get help' and 'Report this transfer as fraud'
How do I report a suspicious call, email, link, or text?
If you receive a suspicious call, email, link, or text from someone you think might be pretending to be Revolut, it's crucial to report it immediately. Your vigilance not only protects your personal and financial information, but also helps combat cybercrime.
Revolut will never call you asking you to transfer money to a ‘safe account’. We’ll also never ask you to make a payment over text.
If you notice any suspicious activity related to your Revolut account, here’s what you can do:
If you see any unrecognised transactions, freeze your card. Here’s how to do it in-app: Go to the Cards section (top-right icon) → select the card you want to freeze → 'Freeze'.
If it’s a card payment, fill out a chargeback form to try and recover the money: Go to your payment history → select 'Get help' → choose the most relevant option.
If it’s a bank transfer, report it: Select the transfer in your transactions list → 'Get help' → 'Report this transfer as fraud'. Once that’s done, select the transfer to see if it’s eligible for cancellation.
What can I do if I've fallen victim to a scam?
1. Stop communication with the fraudster.
2. Contact us immediately via the in-app chat.
3. Recommended: report the matter to a regulatory institution. You can find some useful contacts in this FAQ in our Help Centre.
How does it operate?
1.Download the Revolut Junior app and establish an account. If you are below the age of data consent, your parent will need to set up an account for you using their Revolut app.
2.Obtain approval from your parent or guardian.
3.Choose a prepaid debit card, customize it with text, stickers, and doodles (customization fees may apply), and then order it from your parent's app.
4.Add your card to Apple Pay or Google Pay to start spending immediately (minimum age restrictions apply).
For Parents and Guardians, read below:
With Revolut Junior, young people can manage their money independently. Teens above the age of data consent can sign up on their own, but you'll have access to security controls. If you have children below the age of data consent, you can create an account for them through your Revolut app.
Getting Started:
1.Have your child download the Junior app and create an account.
2.Approve their account through your Revolut app.
3.Order their prepaid debit card from your app (personalization fees may apply).
