Streaming Troubleshooting

There are a number of possible reasons, such as:

- internet connection is instable or inadequate in speed;

- user’s computer is in progress of automatic data-downloads (such as Windows Automatic Updates, auto-upgrade of anti-virus mechanism);

- user’s computer is running a programme or webpage that requires bandwidth to a large degree. For example, simultaneously download files or videos from online websites, etc.

According to actual needs, you may turn off individual program / web page and try again later. You can even enquire about the network issues from your Internet Service Provider (ISP).

    Every day in Eastern Canada, I enjoy listening to Morning Suite. But when I exit the app or my screen goes off, the sound suddenly stops. So instead, I'll try using Chrome to search for rthk.hk. Goodbye!

    The app no longer works on Android 5. Both my phones use this system and are able to run YouTube and many other apps without any problems. It is confusing why the RTHK on the go app requires a newer platform. I may have to consider using a different app that is not officially from RTHK.

    The app has a frustrating bug that keeps coming back. Whenever you try to listen to RTHK Radio 3 on live stream, the audio cuts off after just a split second. But here's the thing - if you force close the app and clear its data, the connection works again. Unfortunately, this fix is only temporary. The next time you open the app, it will work fine at first, but once you close and reopen it, the streaming issue returns. This has been going on for months, and it's really a shame because the app has so much potential.

    Over two years have passed, but streaming is still not dependable. The people who created this app seem to lack the necessary skills.

    The app isn't working properly on my Galaxy Note 8. When I try to stream radio using 4G, it just won't play, even though I made sure the cellular network data box is checked.
