Good to know

The app is a work in progress. This is just the beginning, and together we'll make it better in the time to come. The app has most of the features you know and need, but there are a couple of things you should know before downloading:

You can't transfer tickets from the RuterBillett app to the Ruter app.

You can still travel without setting up a personal profile. However – with a profile you will have access to additional features such as previews of capacity on board the vehicle.

    The app got updated and turned really bad. They made it hard to use by hiding the main functions, they keep bugging you to allow tracking, and it takes longer to do things than before. I don't know why they made these changes. They should think about going back to the old version or giving us the choice to use the better design.

    Finally got an update that follows the UI guidelines for Android newer than 2.3, I've been waiting for this for so long! The only downside is that they created a new app instead of updating the previous one, which made it not update automatically. It was just lucky that I found this. Beautiful interface, well done, Ruter!

    The new version is not great, it feels like you can only see 3 departures before having to update manually. The clock resets every time you apply it, which is annoying for small adjustments. No journey search history either, unlike the old app. It's hard to use and I'm disappointed. I might just use the old website until they fix it.

    So you're saying I can't show my ticket for inspection without internet? The main thing that worked in RuterBilett, and now it's gone? I used to refresh my ticket in the morning at home, making sure it was ready even offline. Now I worry each time, relying on a shaky data connection. I'm really let down. Perhaps they should use their app more and face real fines to understand how users feel.

    So, you know how whenever you need to show the inspection code or picture, you gotta be online, right? But hey, we don't always have internet access. So, that's why I still stick to the old app when buying tickets. It would be so much better if we only needed to be online when purchasing, and then it could work just fine offline. Hopefully, they'll sort this out in the future.

    The app was already pretty bad before the update, but now it's even worse. I'm only using it because I have to, but it's definitely one of the worst out there.

    Good interface and good features. Well integrated with Google maps. Doesn't look like it's from 1993 anymore.
