 ▣ Samsung Smart Switch Mobile allows users to seamlessly transfer contacts, music, photos, calendar, text messages, device settings, and more to a new Galaxy device. Additionally, the Smart Switch™ feature assists in discovering favorite apps or suggesting similar ones on Google Play™.

▣ Eligible Transfer Users:

• For Android™ owners:

- Wireless transfer: Android 4.0 or later

- Wireless transfers from compatible Android devices to Galaxy devices: Android 4.0 or later (Devices not from Samsung with Android versions lower than 6.0 can only link with Galaxy devices supporting a mobile AP.)

- Wired transfer: Android 4.3 or newer, a charger cable, and a USB connector

• For iOS™ owners - select the suitable method:

- Wired transfer from an iOS device to a Galaxy one: iOS 5.0 or higher, an iOS device cable (lightning or 30 pin), and a USB connector

- Import from iCloud™: iOS 4.2.1 or later and an Apple ID

- PC/Mac transfer via iTunes™: Utilize Smart Switch PC/Mac software – Commence at http://www.samsung.com/smartswitch

▣ Content Transferable:

- Contacts, calendar (Device content exclusively), messages, photos, music (Only DRM free content, iCloud not supported), videos (Only DRM free content), call logs, memos, alarms, Wi-Fi, wallpapers, documents, app data (Galaxy devices exclusively), home layouts (Galaxy devices exclusively)

- By upgrading your Galaxy device to M OS (Galaxy S6 or above), you can transmit app data and home layouts.

▣ Supported Devices:

• Galaxy: Recent Galaxy smartphones and tablets (Starting from Galaxy S2)

• Other Android devices:

- HTC, LG, Sony, Huawei, Lenovo, Motorola, PANTECH, Panasonic, Kyocera, NEC, SHARP, Fujitsu, Xiaomi, Vivo, OPPO, Coolpad, RIM, YotaPhone, ZTE, Gionee, LAVA, MyPhone, Cherry Mobile, Google

* Some devices may not support Smart Switch due to compatibility issues.

1.Both devices must have a minimum of 500 MB free space in their internal memory to initiate data transfer.

2.If a non-Samsung device experiences persistent wireless network disconnections, disabling “Wi-Fi initialize” and “Disconnect low Wi-Fi signal” options under Advanced Wi-Fi settings and retrying could resolve the issue.

(Not all devices may have these specific options based on manufacturer and OS version.)

The app necessitates certain permissions for smooth service operation. Default functionalities are activated for optional permissions but not permitted.

. Call logs: Essential for transferring call log data (Android 9 or later)

. Contacts: Critical for transferring contact data

. Storage: Enables file saving essential for data transfer (Android 11 or earlier)

. Files and Media: Facilitates necessary file saving for data transfer (Android 12)

. Photos and Videos: Essential for saving required files for data transfer (Android 13 or later)

. Microphone: Used for high-frequency audio when locating Galaxy devices

. Nearby devices: Aids in detecting close-by devices via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth (Android 12 or above)

. Location: Utilized for connecting via Wi-Fi Direct and sharing location with nearby devices (Android 12 or earlier)

. Notifications: Provides updates regarding data transfer progress (Android 13 or later)
