Satchel One app for Android enables you to conveniently connect with our educational platform while on the move. Since the inception of Show My Homework in 2011, we have proudly partnered with 1 in 3 secondary schools in the UK and continue to do so. We have further developed our acclaimed software into a variety of additional apps to form Satchel One, our comprehensive learning platform. Presently, Satchel One incorporates Show My Homework, Content, Timetables, Behaviour, Seating, Attendance, and Detentions apps.

Navigation

Once logged in, you can get to the main menu anytime by tapping on the menu bar in the top-left corner. You can use the main menu to navigate to the following sections:

To-do list: View upcoming, past, or overdue homework

Timetable: View your scheduled classes per week. Kindly note this section will only appear if your school has Timetables enabled.

Notice board: View school announcements and event reminders

Reminders: Your own list of personal reminders

Updates: Review notifications for grades, comments or announcements that have been posted for you

Settings: Update your account settings, access our Help Centre or get in touch with us,

Sign out: Press to log out of your account on the app

To-do list

Satchel One

From the To-do list, you can select tasks to read their description and download any resources attached to the task. The To-do List is divided into three different sections: Upcoming, Past, and Overdue.

On the Upcoming list, you will find any homework with forthcoming deadlines. Once you have completed homework, check the box beside its title. If you want to view only homework that has not yet been ticked as complete, toggle the switch in the top-right-hand corner.

On the Past list, you will find homework that you've marked as complete, and now their deadline has passed. The Overdue list will show you any homework that is now past its due date and has not been ticked off yet.

Satchel One

Marked something as completed before you meant to? Not to worry! The To-do list is simply an organisational tool, your teacher will not receive any notifications for this. You can untick the homework task to return it to your Upcoming list.

    It's really great for checking if my teenage son is keeping up with his school work, especially now that most of the work is done online. It can be hard for parents to keep track of that. The school needs to make sure they use it properly. Our previous school wasn't very consistent with it, but the current school is doing a great job. They also use it to send out information about trips and stuff, so we always have everything we need right there.

    I don't like this app at all. Whenever I do an online test, it freezes and I have to start over. I can't answer any questions and end up with a low score for classwork. It uses too much storage and crashes too often. Uploading homework is a pain because it always takes forever to load. Despite the updates, things just keep getting worse. I wouldn't suggest this app to anyone. Total waste of time.

    My account keeps getting kicked out, and the app is laggy at weird times. It tells me I'm done when I'm not, and the teachers don't read messages. Some links don't work on certain devices, which makes it hard to do assignments. The tests are slow and loud when I answer correctly. The app updates too frequently, especially when I'm working.

    This app is great for checking homework fast, but it has lots of bugs. It crashes and logs me out randomly, plus it doesn't update comments and overdue work properly. It's not quick or efficient for longer tasks. I wish the developers would fix these issues and maybe add a dark mode option.

    I think this app is completely useless. It doesn't assist with work-related tasks at all. When you try to message your teachers for help, the messages don't go through promptly. Even when the teachers respond, it takes hours. They can't really do much to assist you anyway. The notifications don't function properly. I suggest avoiding this app because it's terrible.

    Being a teacher, I think this app is not helpful at all. The only good thing about it is getting notifications when students leave comments or submit work. But then, I have to switch to the browser version to see the comments properly. It's just impossible to set work or tasks using this app. There are too many blank screens and missing features compared to the website version. On top of that, my school is asking me to assign lessons five times a day, which means I have to stay glued to my desktop computer.
