Tips for Scoring in Basketball

Create Opportunities

Aim for at least three transition layup attempts per half. The defense is often unprepared during these moments, making it easier to score. Create contact with defenders to draw fouls. Referees typically favor offensive players in these situations, leading to more free throw opportunities.

Use Fakes Effectively

Incorporate shot fakes and pass fakes into your gameplay. This can mislead defenders and create open shots or lanes for drives to the basket.

Master Movement and Positioning

Focus on explosive first steps when transitioning from defense to offense.
