Sendwave - Money transfers to Africa

The app is not functional. I made a new account because my family in Africa kept recommending Sendwave for sending money. I completed the setup but now I can't add a recipient and there's no internet connection. Contacted support, waited on hold for almost 30 minutes, then got transferred to different departments with no solution. The last person said it's my phone, no memory space. My phone is new and has lots of space. I'll delete the app.

It feels fishy. You can't delete your account, just uninstall the app. They ask for lots of personal details and even require a photo ID. This app is just awful. I won't use it anymore. It's so slow. Their network always has a delay. It can take more than 24 hours for a pending transaction to go through. The system isn't safe. Twice, when I used their service, my money got stolen because someone hacked into the recipients' accounts without any notification of the funds being received. It happened with two different recipients on two separate occasions.

Just gotta get through that identity verification step, then this app is great! Some people might have issues because of this. Once you download the app, verify your identity, you can start sending money to family and friends with ease. Remember not to log out, as money can't be sent without a password. It's straightforward and convenient.

I used this app for a few years and it worked well. However, since March 2020, it hasn't been functioning on my Samsung phones. The Sendwave help desk couldn't solve the issue. The app works on Apple devices, so it's not an account problem, but it just won't work on Android devices. When I try to select a contact from the address book, the app freezes every time. I noticed others facing the same problem. Chime, please don't tell me to contact the help desk again because I've already done that.
