What is the SharkClean app?

The SharkClean app is a hub for customizing your robot's settings. It offers you the ability to schedule cleans, create a map of your home that you can customize and edit, clean by specific rooms or areas immediately, and more — all in the app.

Once you're finished making changes, you can quickly access troubleshooting tips and FAQs, get notifications, and see detailed Cleaning Reports* with the SharkClean app.

How do I download and use the SharkClean app?

For Apple:

1. Tap on the App Store icon - Link here to App Store 

2. Search the Apple App Store for "SharkClean".

3. Tap on the SharkClean app.

4. Tap Install on the next page. Installation should begin.

For Android:

1. Tap on the Play Store icon in the Play Store -Link here to Play Store

2. Search for "SharkClean."

3. Tap on the SharkClean app.

4. Tap install on the Shark app page. Installation should begin.

How do I know my SharkClean™ app is on the latest version?

Shark® is constantly innovating and will release new versions of SharkClean® app to optimize the best cleaning performance of your robot and provide new features. To ensure you are on the latest version, please search for the SharkClean® app in the app store (Apple) / play store (Android), and check and download for updates.

How do I use my robot with Amazon Alexa?

1. Open the Amazon Alexa app, go to the menu, and select Skills. Or go to the Alexa Skills store on the Amazon website.

2. Search for "Shark Skill".

3. Select the Shark Skill to open the detail page, then select the EnableSkill option.

4. Once enabled, you can ask Alexa to control your robot (i.e. "Alexa, tell Shark to start cleaning").

How do I use my robot with Google Assistant?

To set up your robot with the Google Assistant on an Apple device:

1. Download the Google Assistant. Open it, and sign in.

2. Click the "Explore" icon.

3. Search for the "Shark" action and select "Try it".

4. Allow Google to link to your SharkClean account.

5. Sign in to your SharkClean account. This is the same account you used when setting up your Shark robot in the SharkClean app.

6. Click Authorize to link your SharkClean account to the Google Assistant. This allows the Google Assistant to work with your Shark robot.

Congratulations! Your accounts are now linked. Use the voice command

"OK Google, tell Shark to start cleaning" to send your robot into action.

To set up your robot with the Google Assistant on Android:

1. Download the Google Assistant. Open it, and sign in.

2. Click the "Explore" icon.

3. Search for the "Shark" action and select "Link".

4. Sign into your SharkClean account. This is the same account you used when setting up your Shark robot in the SharkClean app.

    The Shark Clean app is pretty good, but it's a bit slow. Even though I know about the Internet and speed tests and all that stuff, standing just 4 feet away from it can take up to a whole minute for the vacuum to start cleaning when I tell it to. I could have written a letter in that time! Just thought I'd mention it. Apart from that, the function where it avoids certain areas works about 70% of the time. Sometimes it just keeps going into one of my rooms, no matter what. But everything else works fine or as I would expect. Overall, it's good 👍🏽.

    It's been a rough week with the app. It's been really slow to open and load, and it sometimes offers eco mode. Yesterday, I used it for mopping without any problems. But today when I tried to open the app, it was back at the set-up screen. I closed the app, turned off the vacuum, and unplugged the wifi. After turning everything back on, it was still the same. I had to reconnect to the wifi, which took a long time. Finally, when I got into the app, my map was gone. Now I have to remap everything. It seems like I'm facing more and more issues with it.

    The app is having trouble recognizing the specific area I want cleaned. It keeps going into a different room instead of the one I selected on the map. Even after sending it back to the dock and restarting, it still makes the same mistake. I'm frustrated that I have to make it clean the entire basement floor every time, which is such a waste of time. The app definitely needs an update because it's not working as smartly as it should be.

    The app can still get better with more options for custom schedules. It would also be great to store presets for different room setups. Even though this is our first robot vacuum, we have found it to be quite useful. It's surprising how much dirt builds up every day. Having freshly cleaned floors and neat vacuum lines on carpets when we return home has made a noticeable difference in how we feel in our living environment.

    We've been using the App and the robot for about three years now. We really enjoy it. The App keeps getting better, and I've even given it a five-star rating after its improvements. Our house is quite big, so sometimes the robot needs to recharge its battery before finishing the cleaning in a second trip. It would be great if there were a feature to let us schedule this second trip ourselves. Right now, the robot starts cleaning as soon as it's fully charged, and that timing isn't always convenient for us.

    The vacuum cleaner AV 2510SX is excellent. The app effectively accomplishes its tasks but there are a few enhancements that can make it even better. It would be useful to have the option to schedule cleaning for different rooms and adjust settings like power levels individually, instead of just for the entire house. Mapping another room without resetting the process would be convenient. Additionally, having a "quiet mode" where the vacuum operates on eco or normal settings without making loud noises during emptying at the end of the cycle would be helpful. This way, users could run the vacuum at night while sleeping without disturbance.

    Oh no! I got everything set up, mapped out the place, and then ran the first cleaning program. Suddenly, we had a power outage for about 3 seconds. When everything came back on, I checked the app and my map was gone. Now I have to remap everything again! It's such a hassle. Reading the reviews, it looks like this happens a lot. The vacuum works fine on its own, but the app is really frustrating. Please, can you make some improvements to the app so that the vacuum cleaner works smoothly? Thank you!
