Shop Pay

Shop Pay is a wallet that helps you check out faster on participating stores by automatically filling in your saved email, payment, and shipping details. 

The following info is saved and securely encrypted for your future purchases:

email

up to 20 shipping address

credit card details for up to 10 credit cards, including billing addresses

mobile phone number

After you set up Shop Pay, you can manage your credit card and billing info from your Wallet in the Shop app. You can manage your shipping addresses in the Shipping addresses settings of the Shop app. 

Accepted cards that you can use with Shop Pay

To use Shop Pay, you need to have a Visa, Visa Debit, Mastercard, American Express, or other card that the online store that you're buying from supports. You can usually find the list of supported payment methods on the payment screen at checkout. 

Note: If you're located in the Netherlands, then you can also pay with iDEAL using Shop Pay on participating Shop stores. However, you can't use iDEAL to pay for subscriptions.

If you're having trouble using Shop Pay with your card, then you can troubleshoot by confirming the following information:  

If applicable, make sure that you've activated your card before using it.

Check that your billing info matches your bank info on file. For example, the zip code needs to match the billing address.

Make sure that you're using a supported debit or credit card. For example, some prepaid cards aren't supported.

If you're using Shop Pay Installments, then make sure you're not using a Capital One card, Chase credit card, or prepaid debit card.

Check out with Shop Pay

To check out using Shop Pay through an online store, complete the following steps:

Tap the Shop Pay button on the product page, in your cart, or at checkout.

Enter your email address, or select the passkey icon in the email field.

Do one of the following: 

If you selected the passkey icon, then follow the prompts to sign in using your saved passkey. 

If you set up Shop Pay, then you’ll receive a six-digit SMS verification code to the phone number on your Shop Pay account. In the Confirm it's you section, enter your six-digit code. 

If you've previously verified your Shop email address when you set up Shop Pay, then you can click the Send me a code by email instead option. 

Optional: In the Ship to section, click Set as default to designate an address as the default shipping destination for orders paid with Shop Pay.

Review your order before it’s final.

Tap Complete purchase to finalize your order.

Use a discount code or gift card at checkout

During checkout, tap Add a discount code or gift card, and then enter the code and tap Apply.  Before checking out, review your order to make sure the discount code or gift card was applied. 

To redeem multiple gift cards at checkout, you can add each gift card code individually. You can also use a discount code in combination with a gift card at checkout. However, you can only apply one discount code per order at checkout. 

Pay for a subscription using Shop Pay

You can use Shop Pay as a payment method for subscription orders at participating online stores. 

On the product page of an online store, select the Subscribe and save option.

Complete one of the following options:

Click Add to cart to add the product to your cart. When you're ready to complete your order, check out with Shop Pay.

Click Buy with Shop Pay and follow the prompts to check out with Shop Pay.
