FAQ
A few items in a shopping list do not synchronize. All others do.
This is how you solve the problem:
create a new shopping list
open old shopping list
Click on Menu - select all
click on copy icon and select newly created shopping list
Have all items been copied and appear on all connected devices? Then you can delete the old list. The problem seems to occur when items are deleted and added to a list very often. The cause has not yet been found.
There are categories in a shopping list. How to activate the manual item sort order?
There are a total of 3 sort order settings for shopping lists:
items sorted in categories
sorted by order (manual)
sorted alphabetically
For each sort order you can also set whether checked items should remain at their list positions or be moved to the end.
There are two ways to change the sort order of a shopping list.
Option #1
Open Lister, you see the overview of the shopping lists
Each list has three dots on the right hand side
Click on the three points and then click Edit
In the editing view, you can set the sort order in the drop-down menu
Finally, do not forget to save
Option #2
Open Lister, open a shopping list
click on the name of the shopping list at the top. There is a small pencil under the name, which signals that if you click on it you can edit the list
In the editing view, you can set the sort order in the drop-down menu
Finally, do not forget to save
Here is the detailed description of option #1 accompanied by pictures
Currently the sample list is sorted by categories.
Now back to the overview page. There, click on the three dots.
Click on Edit in the menu.
In the dropdown menu the category sort order is selected. Tap the dropdown menu.
Now you will see all sort order options. Select one of the two manual sort order options.
Click on the check in the upper right corner to save the change.
Go back to the shopping list. In the example list, the apples appear before the onions because they were added first. Now click on the three dots at the top right.
Click on Manuall sort items in the menu
Sort the items in the order you want them to be. In the example Apples are pushed under Onions. Click on the check in the upper right corner to save the change.
Subsequently the shopping list is displayed again and the items are arranged as you have just specified.
Here's one picture for option #2
You can also navigate to the editing view within a shopping list. To do this, click on the name of the shopping list in the top bar.
Is it still not working?
Then you have most likely set the global sort order for shopping lists. Switch this off again! Here's the guide:
Open Lister
Settings
Advanced settings
Scroll to Global sort order and switch it off
As always, if you have any questions or suggestions, you can reach the support via email.
Keep local data or keep the data which is stored in the cloud?
This deletes your local data and takes the data from the cloud. Local data is the data that is currently stored on your device. Data means your shopping lists, items, categories, etc.
This is exactly the opposite. The local data is kept and the cloud data is deleted. This deletes your user account at the same time and creates a new one.
This will create a backup file of your local data, which you can safely store and later restore if that is necessary.
With a click on the button you will get to the website you are currently on.
Opens your email app and you can send a message to support.
Cancels the action. Your dataset is as it was before the synchronization. You are not logged in to your Lister account.
As always, if you have any questions or suggestions, you can reach the support via email.
