File Explorer Integration

While SHREDDIT includes its own lightweight file explorer for easy access to your gallery and personal data, it also integrates well with your device's built-in file manager or any third-party file manager. For example, using ES File Explorer, you can select one or multiple files, go to Share > Shreddit, and the app will shred those files accordingly.

Media Files Preview (Gallery Integration)

The app offers previews of media files to help you better understand the content you want to securely erase. You can use the app with your preferred photo manager, such as Google Photos. Simply select one or multiple images/videos and send them to the shredder for permanent deletion.

Known Limitations

After shredding a media file (video or image) from the gallery, you may still see the image thumbnail. Rest assured that all content in the specified media file has been permanently erased; rescanning your media may sync thumbnails with media content.

To erase the external SD card on a device running KitKat (Android 4.4) or later versions, superuser rights are required, meaning your device should be rooted.
