Breeding Combinations Introduction
Double Element Monsters
Doubles are the easiest to breed, and just require two Single-Element Monsters. For example, Maw is bred by breeding Mammott and Toe Jammer. Natural Doubles have a 100% success rate, and thus cannot result in one of the parents. Double-Element Fire and Magical Monsters are slightly harder to breed and can result in one of the parent Monsters. Double-Element Ethereals are much harder to get and will often fail.
Triple Element Monsters
Triples are slightly harder to breed, and require a Double-Element and single element Monster. For example, Quibble and Mammott can result in a Congle. Breeding combinations for Triple-Element Monsters are not guaranteed, and thus can result in one of the parents instead.
Quad Element Monsters
Quads are even harder to breed, and in the case of Fire and Magical Monsters, can be especially challenging. Since Quad-Element Monsters have many Elements, many combinations exist. Breeding a Triple with a Single is much more successful than breeding two Doubles.
Rare Monsters
Rare Monsters are special variants of existing Monsters that are harder to obtain and only available for limited times. They have the same combination as their Common counterpart, with the exception of Rare Singles, which are bred with two Triple-Element Monsters that share the same Element as the Single. For example, Bowgart and Pummel can result in either Rare Potbelly or Rare Toe Jammer since they share the Plant and Water elements.
Once you have the common and rare variants of a Monster, you can breed them together to have a 100% chance of getting that Monster.
Epic Monsters
Epic Monsters are special variants that are even harder to get than Rare Monsters that are also only available for limited times. Instead of sharing a breeding combination with their Rare and Common counterparts, each Epic Monster has a unique combination that differs from Island to Island, which do not follow a logical pattern. Epic Monsters cannot be selected to breed in the Breeding Structure.
Seasonal Monsters
Seasonal Monsters are special Monsters available for limited times during their respective Seasonal Events, or on other occasions, such as an Out-of-Season event or during Anniversary Month. Each Seasonal has a unique combination that is used across all Islands (except Seasonal Shanty), and has a high likelihood of failure.
On Seasonal Shanty, Common Seasonals are always available to breed. They are divided into three types: Core Seasonals, being Punkleton, Yool, Schmoochle, Blabbit, and Hoola, and Aux. Seasonals, being Gobbleygourd, Clavavera, Viveine, Carillong, Whiz-bang, Monculus, Ffidyll, Boo'qwurm, and Spurrit, and Seasonals, with just Jam Boree. The Core Seasonals cannot be bred without already having the Monster, so they must be teleported or bought. Each Aux. Seasonal, or Jam Boree, has a specific combination of two Core Seasonals. Typically, the combination contains the two Core Seasonals that the Aux. Seasonal/Seasonal is closest to. For example, Ffidyll is bred with Schmoochle and Blabbit, as Cloverspell occurs between these Seasonal Events.
Achievements Introduction
There are 17 achievements available to earn in My Singing Monsters. These achievements are only available for mobile devices, as well as the no longer updated Playstation Vita version as bronze trophies. They are not available on Steam, nor the now defunct Big Fish PC version.
Notes
- All achievements that require getting all of an Island's Monsters will be given to the player once the Quad Monster of that Island is placed.
- Strangely enough, some of the Achievement names are used for some of the lyrics that the Werdos sing. (i.e. In the Air on Air Island, and It’s Cold Outside on Cold Island).
- Similarly, Pump Up the Volume is quite similar to "Wub Up the Volume," which Rare Wubbox sings on Earth Island.
- Sometimes there is a glitch that prevents getting the Mommy's Little Monster Achievement.
- The Quad Element Monster Achievement "Rare Monster" was added before Rare Monsters existed.
- The icon for the Triple Trouble achievement uses early versions of all 5 natural element sigils, which have different icons and use the border used in level icons from Thumpies.
Ultimate Beginner Guide | My Singing Monsters: Dawn of Fire
Resource and Inventory Space Management is Key
In Dawn of Fire for My Singing Monsters 2, the game play branches away from the typically food and coin cycle seen in other monster breeding games. Dawn of Fire is more like SimCity BuiltIt where you have to manage through your “item” cycles. Your goal is to produce all the items that your Monsters want.
In short, your simple goal is to keep crafting away without filling up your resource vault.
When you have filled up your items and get “stuck” you may have to “trash” away items from your vault to keep on moving forward.
Upgrade the Warehouse Vault Chest vs Castle for Monster Bed Spot
In My Singing Monsters: Dawn of Fire, you will need “Crystals” and its products to upgrade either the item chest or Monster Bed. You should always upgrade the vaults slots first. Having a bigger inventory vault will make your game play much more smooth.
As you level up your account level, you will have access to the new islands which feature additional crystals needed for upgrade. For example, Level 9 unlocks the icy island where you will need to get the blue crystals.
The crystals can typically found around the edge of each islands.
How to Use your Diamonds
Never ever use your gems to get breedable monsters or speed up the waiting time. Below are two situations where you should spend and invest your hard earned diamonds.
1. Unlock Additional Production Building Slots.
Since your production slots is limited to only 3, it is important to increase some of the buildings. In general, the “raw” crafting material buildings are the ones that you should focus on. For example, Fruit Tree and Garden patches are good choices. Only upgrade the production buildings that you are consistently having trouble with.
2. Upgrade Vaults (Especially when you are missing the last few pieces)
The amount of crystal increases significantly with every additional levels that you place into the vaults. This means that your vault will always be near capacity every time when you are close to level up. Your vault will be filled with all the useless crystals and jewelries required for the upgrade. When you are missing the last few pieces before the upgrade, it may be helpful to simply move forward and purchase those last missing pieces.
Take Advantage of Request New Orders for Monster Wants
Always check to see what your Monsters in Dawn of Fire is requesting. In general, they will request the latest items that you have unlocked from leveling up. However, sometimes you will have multiple monsters request a few hard to get items like Sugar, Slimes, and more.
Make the judgement call when you see multiple monsters requesting the same time. You know that you will never be able to fill those orders within the 30 minute span. So, just refuse those wants request and ask for a new order. You may end up getting more items able to made from your idle buildings.
Breed that 4 Element Monster Flum Ox as Early as Possible
The first 4 element monster that you can successfully breed is the Flum Ox with the elements Fire, Water, Earth, Wind. Your goal is to setup your monster breeding schedule to get this as early as possible. The reason is that you can use it to explore the Wonder Mine unlocked on the Icy island continent as soon as it becomes available. The Singing Monsters in Dawn of Fire with more elements have higher chances at getting free diamonds as well as important loots.
It should be noted that your Monsters need to be at level 4 to breed, so make sure you level those needed monsters first too.
For all other breeding combinations, please check a wonderful Dawn of Fire breeding guide.
There are two ways to get your hands on the Flum Ox.
1. Flum Ox Breeding Combination #1
Noggin + Kayna = Stogg
Toe Jammer + Tweedle = Quibble
Quibble + Stogg = Flum Ox
2. Flum Ox Breeding Combination #2
Toe Jammer + Noggin = Fwog
Kayna + Tweedle = Glowl
Fwog + Glowl = Flum Ox
