Skred is the premier secure peer-to-peer instant messaging application - No requirement for an email address or phone number for its use.
Skred is free of charge, devoid of subscriptions, providers, SIM cards, and any digital footprints.
Developed with a privacy-by-design approach, Skred employs cutting-edge encryption technology to uphold the utmost level of security. It establishes an anonymous and secure connection with each contact, ensuring that only the two individuals engaged in a call can interact, ruling out any third-party access.
Featuring a user-friendly interface designed to facilitate seamless communication, Skred supports the effortless exchange of messages, images, videos, voice calls, and video calls.
The SkredBoard, accessed via a simple swipe down, allows users to create multiple discrete identities for complete confidentiality. Users can also engage in group conversations with several friends simultaneously.
Upon deleting a message on Skred, it vanishes not only from one's device but also from the recipient’s mobile phone.
All communications on Skred are encrypted end-to-end, safeguarding them as they travel between mobile devices, with no data being stored on any server. The open-source encryption technologies employed are rooted in the efforts of hackers and hacktivists associated with the Guardian Project.
Originating from the Skyrock Group, which emerged from the free radio movement in France, Skred stands for freedom of expression both over the airwaves and online.
