Somnus: Nonogram Cheats: Tips & Guide to Solve All Puzzles

Don’t mind the color of the blocks

Some of the blocks might be black, some others grey and some white – don’t mind the color of the blocks, as they do not matter. All that matters is how many consecutive blocks you have, all in order to match the numbers on the side.

So if you see some blocks of different colors in a row, don’t really mind them too much because they are there for the bigger picture, not to mess with your puzzles.

Mind the empty space

Whenever solving puzzles, there has to be at least ONE empty block between the numbered blocks. So if you have 10 blocks per horizontal line, 10 per vertical line, and you need to solve a 10 puzzle, then you will have no spaces left.

But if you have to solve a 8 and 1 puzzle, then you will have to leave an empty space in between them, to mark the end of that 8 and the beginning of that 1. Makes sense?

Figure the exact answer, else you’re in trouble

It might be very difficult to solve the exact answer sometimes, and when that happens, don’t frat over it – try solving other puzzles, because it will all work out in the end. Try solving the other blocks sections first and all the pieces of the puzzles will fall in place eventually – literally.

Complete the Story Mode

If you are passionate about the story of the game, which is a pretty interesting one I have to say, you should do the Story Mode. Here you will complete the puzzles as they come, in progressing difficulty.

If you don’t really care much for reading, then it’s OK too, because it gives you a challenge!

Practice in the Normal Mode

If you happen to get stuck at the Story Mode somewhere, which I am honestly not too surprised about (because I got stuck myself several times), then you should take your time and practice the puzzles in the Normal Mode.

Here you can select from a variety of combinations, varying from 10×10, 15×15 to 20×20. There are 30 levels for each, so there is plenty for you to try and better understand the game!

Take a wild guess, why not?!

If you don’t really care about the lives given to you when you start the game and all you want to do is solve the puzzles, you can try it the risky way! You can take wild guesses, which means that you can randomly place the colored blocks.

Well, what I mean here is not exactly randomly – but rather complete the sections which you know how to solve or are easy to solve, and the ones that require a little bit of guessing or further solving, just place randomly the way that you think they might be.

Use the grid to skip counting

If you don’t want to think about counting too much, you should use the grid to help you with that – after all, that’s what it is there for. The grid splits the puzzle in 5×5 sections, so a 10×10 puzzle will be split in 4.

A 20×20 puzzle will be split in 16, so it will be tougher, but the grid helps a lot! Use it to count easier and to help you get a better understanding of how the blocks might be placed. Also, don’t forget about the empty space between the blocks!

Be wary of your lives

When you start a stage you will have 10 lives. They will be taken down when you misplace a block, so if you tap by mistake on a block which is supposedly empty, then you’ll be depleted of 1 life.

This is the risky part about the “wild guess” tactic, because it might make you end up with zero lives pretty quickly. Always keep this in mind, because if you fail – you’ll have to redo the level!

This app is full of bugs! The music plays when it shouldn't, and the puzzles don't register as complete. It's hard to navigate the home screen, and it's confusing to find where you are in the game. Once you choose a chapter, you can't go back easily. The story is interesting, and the game has promise, but the bugs are just too frustrating.

Oh, I played this super adorable puzzle game recently—it's perfect for keeping yourself occupied. I managed to clear all the levels, and I must say, the story was quite engaging even though there were a few moments where the story flow wasn't as smooth when transitioning between chapters. At times, I faced some issues with the controls not registering my input when trying to fill in the squares, but it was enjoyable to experiment with the settings and explore the different control options. Overall, it was a fun experience, and I look forward to seeing more from the developers in the future.

You're welcome for the explanation from the development team about your review! I have just completed level two and the images are really well created with pixels! This game is fantastic for passing time, it's calming and helps to relax. I recommend it if you're feeling bored and need to de-stress! The storyline is also captivating as it's thoughtfully crafted! In general, great job and amazing work by the Somnus: Nonogram team!

Wow, I found this game while looking around the Play Store. Installing it was a great decision! I had no idea what a Nonogram Puzzle was initially, but now I do thanks to this game. The cute little character scenes are simple yet very artsy, the music is super calming, and I love solving the puzzles in my free time. The story is easy to keep up with and quite enjoyable too. If I had to give some feedback, it would be that the failure music mixing with the background music can be a bit annoying. But apart from that, it's a fantastic game, guys! Keep up the good work!

The game is very calming, with pleasant background music. It's just the right level of difficulty - not too easy but not too tough. The graphics are gorgeous and the story mode is enjoyable. The tools like automatic fill in and zoom feature really help during gameplay. Overall, I highly recommend this game.

Playing this game is really fun and a good way to pass the time. The stories in the two chapters are interesting. The background music and visuals create a nice and relaxing atmosphere. The art styles and color schemes are impressive. However, it might be challenging to play on devices with smaller screens due to the 20x20 grid size. Despite that, as someone new to this type of puzzle game, I find it quite enjoyable.

I really like this game much more than I thought I would. It's now my go-to for unwinding at night. The backgrounds are lovely and the music is soothing. This game is also more lenient compared to the last nonogram app I used, plus it lets you zoom in on the bigger puzzles when the squares get too tiny. Although there are ads, they can be closed after 5 seconds and so far, they haven't been bothersome or loud.

I found out about picross while playing other games, but this one is really amazing. You can adjust the difficulty level on your own, and the best part is that you don't have to make any guesses. It's all about clear logic, which makes it a great game for critical thinking. The storyline and graphics are adorable, and there's a ton of content to enjoy. It's such a fun game that has been keeping me entertained for a long time now. ❤️

I love playing this game! There are two main ways to play - you can follow a story and create beautiful mosaics by putting together small pieces, or you can play single puzzle games (there are around 200 of them to choose from). The only thing I don't like is that you start off with 10 lives. If you make a wrong move, you lose a life and a red X appears on the puzzle. This actually makes some of the puzzles easier because if you get stuck, you can just make a few "mistakes" without having to really think through the solution. It would be great if there was an option to turn off the lives feature.

Picture Perfect is a calming puzzle game that's perfect for unwinding. It features classic picross and nonogram puzzles with soothing music and lovely artwork. The puzzles offer small glimpses of larger images, and you can customize some settings like automatic line fills and color options. The gameplay is easy to grasp, although it might be a bit tricky on smaller screens. However, the pinch-to-zoom feature makes it simple to focus on specific sections. If you enjoyed Luna Picross, this one's definitely worth a try!
