Space Frontier 2 Beginner’s Guide: Tips, Cheats & Strategies to Rule the Galaxy
1. Aim For Insane Timing
There are three types of tap ratings in the game: Great, Perfect, and Insane. If you are able to tap just outside the highlighted area of the ring, it will be rated as Great, and you will receive 15 to 20 bonus coins. To get a Perfect, you must tap within the highlighted area of the ring. Doing so will get you 30 to 40 bonus coins. Now, if you are the master of timing, and you manage to tap with very little of the ring left, you will receive the Insane rating, as well as 60 bonus coins. Needless to say, you cannot expect to get Insane taps a hundred percent of the time when you are still starting out. It takes a lot of practice before you can nail those taps consistently. Try tapping right before you reach the highlighted area. Tapping a little early will help account for the lag in your reaction time, increasing the chances of an Insane tap.
The different tap ratings do not just represent coin bonuses, they also give you height boosts when you launch. That means you will be able to travel far if you consistently hit Insane taps. This is essential to conquering more planets easily. If you fail to get at least a Great rating, you will not receive any boosts in launching the rocket. Make sure you practice your taps in order to get the most mileage out of each launch.
2. Handle Colonists With Care
When you tap too late, you risk losing your rocket, and all its colonist passengers along with it. Make sure you take extra care when you have colonists on board. This is especially true once you have progressed far into the game. Colonists can get pretty expensive the further you go. Losing them can set you back by a lot, so be careful. Sometimes it is better to tap a little too early and lose your chance at an Insane tap than risk losing your passengers. Keep in mind that the more colonists you have on planets, the more income you will generate while offline. That more than makes up for the handful of bonus coins you sacrifice by playing it safe.
3. Hold Off On Rocket Upgrades
Upgrading your rocket will allow you to launch it farther into space, making travel to new Solar Systems possible. You would think that makes it important enough to rush upgrades, but it is actually the opposite. An upgraded rocket also takes longer to launch. You won’t be allowed to move on to the next Solar System without meeting prerequisites anyway, so there is no need to hurry with your upgrades. In fact, it is better if you spend your money on fulfilling the colonist requirements first. Keep your rocket at a low level so you can launch it more quickly. Fill up the planets with the required number of colonists and rank up. Once you have met the requirements for moving on, that is the time for you to spend your money on buying all the necessary upgrades for your rocket. You will know if you are ready to move on to the next galaxy by tapping on the purple icon on the left side of the screen. From there, you will see if there are new systems available for you to explore.
4. Max Out The Colonists
Every system has several planets that can be colonized. You can have a maximum of 1,000 colonists in one system. You will be able to move on to the next Solar System long before you hit that cap. If you are looking to maximize your offline income, however, then it would be a good idea to take time to deliver all 1,000 colonists to the conquered planets. Your offline income is computed based on the number of colonists you have across all the different systems you have conquered. You will be able to increase your earnings exponentially if you max out the colonists on even one of these systems.
5. How To Level Up Quickly
One of the requirements for moving on to the next Solar System is to move up one level. This can be easy in the early parts of the game, but it will become increasingly difficult as you progress. You need a lot of experience to level up in the advanced stages of the game. Keep in mind that you only get one experience point for every astronaut you launch into space. If you want to level up quickly, you will need to take advantage of this fact and grind levels in the first Solar System, the Sun. Just collect a whole lot of money in the latest system you have conquered, then fly back to the Sun to buy a lot of cheap astronauts. Fill up your ship and launch them into space. Rinse and repeat until you level up!
6. Watch Ads For More Money
When you head into the exploration menu, you will see a 2x button. Tap on it and accept the ad offer that will pop up. After watching the ad, you will get doubled earnings for the next eight hours. Make sure you take time to activate this bonus every eight hours to maximize your earnings. Aside from this, you will also receive an ad offer to double your offline earnings every time you log back into the game. Take advantage of this offer for even more cash.
