Tips:

- Before each round, make a bid indicating the number of tricks you anticipate winning.

- Exceeding the bid creates bags, with each bag typically worth 1 point. A penalty of 100 points may be imposed for every 10 bags accumulated.

- Bidding nil (0 tricks) and succeeding rewards your team with 100 points; failing incurs a 100-point penalty.

- Card values ascend in this sequence: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, Jack, Queen, King, Ace.

- Players must follow suit whenever possible; not having the led suit allows any card to be played.

- Spades always trump; they can only be played if you cannot follow suit. Once spades are played, they're considered broken, allowing subsequent spade cards.

- Non-spade tricks are won by the highest-ranking card following suit; in spade-filled tricks, the highest spade card prevails.
