SQUARE ENIX Software Token - Secure Login Verification

Oh no, what a terrible experience! I was hesitant for a while about enabling 2FA on my account because if something went wrong, I would have to depend on a support ticket. The app didn't make me feel any better about my concerns with its unclear and basic design. This morning, I finally decided to set it up, but it quickly turned into a disaster. No matter how many times I tried, I couldn't log in right away, and you need to do so at least once to get the removal code. Now, I'm stuck waiting for a ticket to regain access to my account.

So, there was an update and it messed up the app, which means I can't get into my account now. Supposedly, you can bypass the OTP requirement with an emergency removal password, but honestly, that shouldn't have to happen. Oh, and don't get me started on how hard it is to use this app - other people have complained about that too. Can we just use Google or Duo authenticator instead in the future? This app is so terrible that I'd rather take my chances without any extra security until there's a better option available.

I'm really frustrated right now. I thought I could try the free trial first before deciding to buy, but now I can't even sign in without an OTP. And to get that OTP, I have to use this app, which requires a registration password that can only be accessed through the site settings. But here's the kicker - you can only make changes to the Smartphone Token if you've already purchased and registered the game. Seriously? I was so excited to play and potentially buy the game, but now it feels like a never-ending loop of obstacles. It's just crazy!

That's really bad! Whenever you turn off your phone, restart it, or clear the cache, the app stops working. Then, you can't access your account until you take out the authenticator. I strongly recommend not using it because I'm shocked that such a big issue exists in its design. It's just incredibly foolish. Having the free teleport point or extra security isn't worth it. Just stick to a stronger password instead.
