Stop & Shop - Grocery shopping convenience

It's usually awesome. Sometimes there are little problems but they always fix them fast. Don't change a thing!

Man, this app is really taking forever to respond and move smoothly. It's like, you tap on something, but then out of nowhere, the page decides to load something new, shifting everything around and making you accidentally tap on the wrong thing. I swear it wasn't this bad a while back. I think the updates they've been doing lately just messed up the whole user experience.

Oh boy, I barely use this app, but it's so frustrating how long it takes for the clipped sound and your card to sync up. It's crazy! You gotta do something about this interface problem – either make it quick like lightning or at least tell us in the store that there's a 15-minute delay between clipping a coupon and it showing up on your card. Put up signs at the scanner station and check out, so we know what's going on. It's really annoying, like today I clip something but it doesn't show up when I go to pay. Groan.

It sounds like the old app was fantastic. You could easily see sales, use coupons, select sale items, and have everything deducted at the register. Now, things have taken a turn for the worse with this new version of the app. Its functions keep changing, preventing you from accomplishing anything smoothly. It keeps prompting you to log in repeatedly. The ease with which the old app worked is sorely missed. The frustration with this new version runs deep.

I uninstalled the app, then reinstalled it. Everything was good until I signed in. This has been happening for a month now, causing me to miss out on digital coupons and weekly bonus points. Judging by the lack of responses here, they either don't know about the issue or just don't care. It's probably the latter. A whole week passed by without a single reply from Stop and Shop!

I'm updating my review score from 2 stars to 1 star. The app keeps crashing, asks me to verify if I'm not a robot after every scan, the scanner doesn't function properly, items show up as scanned twice in my cart, and the entire app gets stuck on a loading screen, preventing me from using it at all. When I managed to transfer my order to a physical scanner, I had to rescan most items because my order was audited. It was a huge waste of time and energy. This terrible experience has made me decide to no longer shop at Stop & Shop.

Stop and Shop is really easy to use and super convenient. You can scan items while you shop and choose whether to pick them up or have them delivered. Even if you don't feel like going shopping, you can easily schedule a pick-up. The app is great because you can clip coupons which helps you save money along with the rewards. I once saved $20 on my groceries, sometimes even more. It also alerts you when your rewards are due to expire. Although I've lost some rewards, I've gained many more benefits from using this app.
