🎮 Game Review | Stormfall: Saga of Survival – A Tactical Crawl Through the Cursed Forest

Today, I took on the Cursed Forest in Stormfall: Saga of Survival—and I’m happy to report, I cleared it solo. This survival RPG offers more than just crafting and gathering; combat here is tactical, and knowing your weapons is the key to staying alive. Here’s a breakdown of my battle-tested strategies and what I learned along the way.

🕷️ Spiders: Clear the Field First

At the start, I was cornered with limited movement space, so I opened with 3 shots of Pyroring to quickly eliminate a spider. Normally I’d go with the sling for efficiency, but when you’re boxed in, speed is more important than resource management.

Ideal combo: 3x Sling + 1x Pyroring =11×3 + 27 = 60damage, just enough to take it down.

Once I had more room to maneuver, I switched back to the sling to conserve Pyroring charges.

🐸 Cursed Frogs: Don’t Waste Your Sling

Frogs are deceptively tanky. I tested using the sling (14 damage per hit), which took 3 hits to deal 42 total—not ideal. Meanwhile, a single Pyroring hit lands 33 damage, making it a far more efficient choice.

Lesson learned: Use Pyroring on frogs. It saves time and avoids unnecessary risk.

💀 Undead: Know Their Threshold

Facing enraged undead enemies, I found that 1 Pyroring + 3 regular attacks (16 damage each) added up to 81 total damage, which was enough to kill one without taking hits.

In situations where two undead approached at once, I used environmental obstacles like small boxes to trap one and deal with them one at a time. It worked like a charm.

🪓 Bonebreaker: Kite Smart, Don’t Get Greedy

This brute deals 30 damage per hit, so direct confrontation is a bad idea. I lured the Bonebreaker away from other enemies by pulling him over a wall and using a barrel to block his path.

My approach:

Use 2 hits of Pyroring, then retreat.

Rinse and repeat, avoiding direct melee.

It took me about 13 attack cycles to bring him down safely.

✅ Endgame: One Frog Left, Then Clean Sweep

By the 27-minute mark, only one frog remained. I eliminated it and used the auto-collect feature to confirm the map was fully cleared. It worked—every monster in the forest was down. Mission accomplished.
