The Suunto app is much better than the Movescount app. It provides lots of details and statistics for each activity. The user interface is very neat, with well-organized data and charts that can be filtered in various ways to analyze workouts thoroughly. The synchronization between the watch and the app is also quicker compared to the old app. In all aspects, the Suunto app far surpasses Movescount. Thank you!

Oh, the software works great! It's so smooth to transfer data from my watch. It's like magic – quick and easy. When I view my route in 3D, it feels as if I'm soaring over it in a helicopter. Such a cool feature! One thing though... The watch collects tons of data, but the graphs in the software show time on the x-axis only. It'd be awesome if they could also show distance. You know, like having Heart Rate vs. distance instead of just vs. time. Right now, I can't analyze different sections of my route to see how far apart two points are. All I can do is compare the time between them. To figure out distances along my route, I have to use another app like Komoot. Luckily, setting up an account there is a breeze (and it's free!). But wouldn't it be nice if the Suunto App could do that too? Maybe the tech team could add the option for both time and distance-based graphs in their future updates. That would be really helpful!

Uploading is fast, but connecting with apps like Strava and Training Peaks is problematic. There's a tool now to export .fit files, but it doesn't work well - often failing to download anything. Syncing with apps remains unreliable. Sometimes I still have to resort to using Movescount when this app refuses to sync or let me download a file.

This app does everything I need it to do. I don't ask for much, just want to keep track of my dog walks and couch to 5k runs. Once I finish the program, I'll use it to check my times and fitness progress, but that's about it. If you're looking for an app for these types of activities, it works great for me. There are additional features like tracking fitness data such as steps and calories, which I appreciate even though I'm not overly reliant on them.

Oh man, setting up this app was a real pain. I had to make a whole new account in another app before even getting started. And get this, I had to turn on my phone's location service just to sync it with my watch and see the data. Like, why can't it just work with Bluetooth? Plus, having my GPS running all the time really drains my phone battery. What's even getting tracked anyway? And come on, why isn't there a web version to replace Movescount?

Syncing doesn't work which is frustrating. The app needs syncing to be useful, but lately it's not connecting with my Galaxy S20. It's a good app with nice features when it does work. However, without syncing, it can't do much on its own. This is really disappointing.

Got this app to update my routes on Ambit2. Didn't find any old routes in my watch, so I can't delete them. Also, the new routes and points of interest I create and choose to sync don't transfer to my watch no matter how many times I try. Now, my Ambit2 can't get updated navigation routes. Disappointing. It's lost a key feature I bought it for. Been a Suunto customer for 25 years. Thinking of switching to a different brand.

There are numerous disappointments in comparison to Movescount, particularly the absence of a desktop interface. It looks like some features are being removed, perhaps to pave the way for a potential subscription service like Training Peaks or Strava. Here are a few specific grievances off the top of my mind: - Not able to link with Zwift - Unable to input activities in the calendar view - Limited options for manually adding activities; describing a weight workout requires a lengthy explanation in the description field, with just time and date recorded. - Issues with recording ascent in certain features. While it could be due to my Ambit, sometimes I choose 'Trail Running' instead of 'Ski Touring' for at least some data during the activity. It's frustrating to voice complaints, but you can only hope that a developer takes note. I don't want to switch from Suunto, however, they seem to be failing their dedicated, sports-loving customers who enjoy analyzing training data.

I am unprepared. The connection is better with Connects than Movescount, but that's about it. You cannot choose which apps send notifications to the watch, so you receive notifications from every app throughout the day. Once activated, it syncs constantly, causing significant battery drainage, and there is no way to turn this function on or off. I would prefer syncing after a workout and not continuously. While I can follow Suunto on Twitter through the app (which seems unnecessary), the app lacks basic watch controls. The help section is not helpful, and developers do not respond. Suunto should be embarrassed about the app's performance.
